Intensive Care ward in Project Hospital Project Hospital Guide, Tips
Last update: 07 November 2018
The intensive Care Unit (ICU) is the place where the patients in critical condition are sent, it will inevitably be in the red, but is invaluable in saving patients. This is where patients in critical condition from other wards will be redirected.
The rooms that also belong to the ward but are used for patient hospitalization are: On-call room, nurse station, ICU, restroom. It is also worth having a common room and a cleaning closet to increase the prestige of the ward.
Just in case, it is worth building some more ICU rooms.
Staff needed to operate the ICU: doctors with Critical Care Medicine specialization, nurses with Patient Care specialization (minimum 1 doctor and nurse for day and night shift). It is also worth having more doctors and nurses, as sometimes the ward can be heavily burdened.
