Emergency / Injuryc ward in Project Hospital Project Hospital Guide, Tips
Last update: 07 November 2018
Emergency is one of the simplest wards, and one of the less costly to build, it does not require anesthesiologists and nurses to assist with operations. It also gets less money from uninsured patients (yes, this is the place where such patients will drop in as well), but it can still generate profits. The ward offers general practitioners here, and this is where the patients can get referrals to other wards if necessary. This ward can easily gain a lot of prestige for the hospital - diseases are not particularly difficult to diagnose, but sometimes it will need support in the form of additional examinations in the radiology ward.
For smooth operation you will need: waiting room, doctor's office, restroom, common room, cleaning closet, and STAT Lab. These rooms belong to the clinic.
The rooms that also belong to the ward, but are used to hospitalize patients are: On-Call room, nurse station, observation room, and Trauma Center - TC.
When it comes to the rooms belonging to the clinic, it is advisable to have 3 to 4 doctor's offices for more efficient patient service. You should also have a reception - to some extent it will help in diagnosing patients, often even before the patient enters the doctor's office, the receptionists are able to write some symptoms into the patient card.
Staff needed to operate the clinic: doctors with General Medicine specialization, nurses with Patient Care specialization, technicians with Biochemistry specialization.
Staff needed to operate the hospitalization section: doctors with Acute Medicine specialization, nurses with Patient Care specialization (minimum 1 doctor and 1 nurse for day and night shift).
