Walkthrough - Archives | Chapter 5

Walkthrough: Start this mission by putting on a gas mask. Check the area to your left and you'll have a chance to collect supplies from a dead body #1. You may now enter a large room with two black beasts #2. One of the monsters should eventually leave this area and the other one will remain close to the dead soldier.

I wouldn't recommend fighting the black monster #1, because it will be more resistant than the beasts you've encountered in the previous mission. Instead you should avoid the central area and start running towards a corridor seen in the distance #2.

You'll have to be very careful once you've reached the staircase #1, because it will be incomplete and therefore you can fall down if you're not careful enough. This also applies to other steps - they will fall off if you stay in one spot for more than a second. Head down until you're allowed to catch a breath on a stable ledge #2.

Continue heading towards the ground floor, making small jumps along the way. After you've reached the lowest level you'll have to use a ladder #1 to get to a new platform. Proceed forward. Once you're inside a new room you should remain on this level so that you won't have to fight a new creature. Make a jump towards a ledge seen directly in front of you #2.

Start using wooden beams found to your right and then walk on a pipe #1 so that you'll have a chance to get to an upper level. Notice a new dead soldier in front of you #2. Check his body to find standard ammunition and 5 rounds of gold ammunition.

You can now focus on leaving this area safely. I would recommend staying on this level and proceeding towards larger pipes seen in the distance #1. Use other objects from the environment to make your way to a small ledge #2. Thankfully if you fall down you'll be allowed to get here using the stairs.

Head forward and then turn right to find an entrance to a ventilation shaft #1. Naturally you should head inside. Ignore a new monster along the way, because you won't have to fight back. Enter a new area #2, head down and proceed forward.

Use the stairs and then jump down to get to the lower level. Thankfully you won't have to use a gas mask here. Turn right and you should notice a sleeping monster #1. Approach the beast slowly and check the area to the right. Doing this will allow you to find 5 rounds of gold ammunition #2.

Proceed to the next section by choosing a small passageway found on the right wall #1. Go past a new sleeping monster slowly and prevent a second monster from making a surprise attack. Eventually you should be able to get to a staircase #2.

Use the stairs to reach the top floor and then proceed to your right. Walk slowly here #1 so you'll avoid falling down (you can also perform two jumps instead of using wooden boards). This time head down and once again you'll encounter a sleeping mutant. Choose the passageway located to your right #2 so that you won't have to get too close to the creature.

It shouldn't take long until you've reached a new staircase #1 and in this case you'll want to get to the upper floor. Look around a bit - one of the side rooms found to your right contains a safe #2 with a lot of valuable supplies.

You can also collect an ammo clip from a nearby case #1. Notice that the case itself will fall on one of the monsters seen earlier, killing the creature on the spot. Enter a nearby room #2 where you'll be rewarded with the final cut-scene.
