Last update: 11 May 2016
The table blow contains an alphabetical list of all achievements available the game and it explains how to unlock them.
ACHIEVEMENT | HOW TO UNLOCK |
A Lesson in Manners | You must help Vito's friends involved in a car accident and an arguement with another driver. Read the 'Helping the woman from the accident' section of chapter five walkthrough. |
A Real Gentleman | You must help a woman in fixing her car. Read the 'Reaching Joe's apartment' section of chapter two walkthrough. You will have to wait for her husband to leave, talk to her to find out about the problem, stand in front of the car and press the action key to make the repairs. |
Back in Business | You must steal a vehicle for Mike Bruski. Read the 'Stealing a car and delivering it to Mike' section of chapter two walkthrough. |
Big Brother | You must defeat a goon bothering Vito's sister. Read the 'Dealing with the goon' section of chapter two walkthrough. |
Card Sharp | You must find all 159 wanted posters. Check the 'Collectibles' chapter to find out where to look for them (maps of the entire Empire Bay with green dots showing their locations). |
Chasing the Dragon | You must finish the twelfth chapter of the game - Sea Gift. |
Checking Out | You must finish the tenth chapter of the game - Room Service. |
Chop Chop! | You must finish the thirteenth chapter of the game - Exit the Dragon. |
Collector's Item | You must find at least one collectible item. This is a very easy achievement unlocked by picking up at least one magazine or a wanted poster. |
Cruise Control | You must continue driving at least 30 miles per hour (48 km/h) for at least five minutes. It shouldn't be a big problem, because there are a lot of freeways in Empire Bay. Using the cruise control mode is recommended so that you won't be driving too fast and therefore you won't have to drive through trickier sections too many times. Watch out for civilian cars while trying to complete this achievement, because some of their moves on the road may be unpredictable. |
Dream Handling | You must fully upgrade one vehicle in the workshop. A good moment to unlock this achievement is one of the missions during which you will have a lot of cash. |
End of the Rainbow | You must deal with the Irish responsible for burning down Vito's villa. Read the 'Dealing with the Irish in the pub' and 'Chasing after the last Irish' sections of chapter eleven walkthrough. |
Exporter | You must deliver five cars to Derek in the south docks. Each time you want to sell a car you must park it on a small platform, exit the vehicle and move back to a safe distance. You'll have to sell a car that way during the final moments of chapter eight, so wait until then if you still want help figuring out how this can be done. Make sure to sell all five cars before starting chapter fourteenth, because it won't be possible later on in the game. |
Finish Him | You must finish the last fifteenth chapter of the game - Per Aspera Ad Astra. |
Get Rich or Die Flyin' | You must fly at least 20 meters in a car. A good place to attempt this challenge is a factory located in the north-eastern part of the map, because you'll find a lot of platforms suitable for making jumps there. Make sure to have a fast car at your disposal to pull it off. |
Good Spirit | You must finish the fifth chapter of the game - The Buzzsaw. |
Hairdresser | You must score five headshots in a short period of time. I would recommend using a rifle or a good pistol and to make attempts near a checkpoint, so that you will have a chance to reload the game and try again. |
Hard to Kill | You must survive a police chase for ten minutes. I would recommend waiting with this achievement until you've unlocked one of the final chapters of the game, because Vito will then have a lot of weapons at his disposal. Using cars is not a good idea, because it's easy to lose the cops and to end the chase prematurely. The best way is to shoot a cop and to barricade yourself in an alley, waiting for more police officers to show up. You should also consider playing on the lowest difficulty level, so that Vito will be hard to kill. |
He Who Pays the Barber | You must force all the dockers to pay the money they owe Derek in the docks. Read the 'Extorting money from the dockers' section of chapter three walkthrough. |
Hey Joe | You must remove the body from the Lone Star club. Read the 'Dragging the bartender's body to his car' section of chapter ten walkthrough. |
Home Sweet Home | You must finish the second chapter of the game - Home Sweet Home. |
Knucklehead | You must kill 30 people in melee combat. The best moment to unlock this achievement is after learning counterattacks and better finishers from Leo. |
Ladies' Man | You must find all 50 Playboy magazines. Check the 'Collectibles' chapter to find out where to look for them (their locations are also mentioned in the walkthrough). |
Last Respects | You must finish the seventh chapter of the game - In Loving Memory, F. Potenza. |
Made Man | You must finish the entire game on the normal difficulty level. |
Mail Man | You must sell all the stamps on gas station before midnight. Read the 'Selling the stamps at gas stations' section of chapter three walkthrough. Don't forget to turn off the realistic driving mode, because otherwise it will be very difficult to keep the car on the road when trying to make it in time to all the gas stations. |
Man of Honor | You must finish the ninth chapter of the game - Balls and Beans. |
Men at Work | You must finish the fourteenth chapter of the game - Stairway to Heaven. |
Night Shift | You must finish the fourth chapter of the game - Murphy's Law. |
One Careful Owner | You must drive at least 50 miles (80,5 km) in one car. The best way to complete this achievement is to have a favorite car in the garage and to use it to complete missions and to drive around the city finding the collectibles. |
Our Good Friend | You must finish the eleventh chapter of the game - A Friend of Ours. |
Out for Justice | You must take revenge on the Chinese for murdering a colleague. Read the 'Killing Wong's men in the park', 'Following Wong' and 'Attacking the Red Dragon restaurant' sections of chapter thirteen walkthrough. |
Pedal to the Metal | You must drive a car 160 miles per hour (258 km/h). The best areas to do this are the freeways and the main bridge. Use the Smith 34 Hot Rod acquired at the end of chapter 4 and visit a workshop to buy all performance upgrades for this vehicle. |
Petrol Head | You must drive at least 30 different vehicles. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you remember about stealing each new car you notice on the street, including buses, trucks, small vans and cisterns. Use the car encyclopedia in the main menu to find out which cars you've driven and which ones you didn't. |
Proper Scrapper | You must deliver five vehicles to Mike Bruski's scrapyard. Each time you want to sell him a car park it inside the press and use the control panel accessed by using the stairs. The best moment to unlock this achievement is the fourteenth chapter of the game, because selling the cars is one of two ways of getting the money needed to pay off the debt. |
Sharp Suiter | You must buy a tailored suit. It's important that you're not buying a "normal" suit, because it won't count. You can find the stores selling tailored suits in the central area of the map. The best moment to unlock this achievement is the final part of the ninth chapter of the game, because changing clothes is needed to move on and a clothes store with tailored suits is the closest one to the Maltese Falcon restaurant. |
Stuck Up | You must rob five stores in less than five minutes. The fourteenth chapter is an ideal moment to unlock this achievement, because robbing stores is one of two ways of getting the money needed to pay off the debt. Choose the area with a lot of stores close to each other and start robbing them. I would recommend playing on the lowest difficulty settings, so that even if you get caught you won't have any problems outrunning the cops or killing them. Don't forget that it's less likely to get caught if you're robbing gun stores and gas stations. |
The Enforcer | You must kill 50 enemies. This is a very simple achievement, because you'll kill more people during the course of the entire singleplayer campaign. |
The Mafia Never Forgets | You must kill a person from the witness protection program. Read the 'Driving to Oak Street in Greenfield' section of chapter fourteen walkthrough. |
The Price of Oil | You must finish the third chapter of the game - Enemy of the State. |
The Professional | You must steal the gas stamps from the office of price administration without raising an alarm. Read the 'Gaining access to the office of price administration', 'Taking the keys from director's office', 'Finding the safe and stealing the stamps' and 'Leaving the building' sections of chapter three walkthrough. The most important thing you need to remember about is to avoid the guards without killing them. Don't forget to turn off the alarm before opening the safe! |
The Wild Ones | You must finish the eighth chapter of the game - The Wild Ones. |
Time Well Spent | You must finish the sixth chapter of the game - Time Well Spent. |
Tough Nut | You must finish the entire game on the highest difficulty setting. |
Tuned Ride | You must purchase a performance upgrade for a car while inside the workshop. It shouldn't be a problem and buying the first upgrade will be possible while playing the second chapter of the game. |
Viva la Resistenza! | You must finish the first chapter of the game - The Old Country. |
Wake Up Call | You must help Leo in escaping from the estate without meeting with Henry. Read the 'Things happening inside Leo's estate' section of chapter eleven walkthrough. What you need to do is to get to the laundry bin found near the bathroom and then drive Leo to a train station without getting caught. |
