October 28, 2014

Another edition of a popular wrestling simulator, developed annually since the release of 2002's WWE Raw. After the liquidation of THQ, the original publisher of the game, Take Two, became the official owner of the franchise. The new edition was created as a result of cooperation between Yuke's (the creators of the previous editions) and the Visual Concepts studio, the developer of the NBA 2K series. WWE 2K15 combines the best mechanics developed over the years with next-gen visuals, offering completely new game modes. The controls were modified, so that they are more intuitive, and the game features even more moves for the player to perform. However, the largest change brought by this edition lies in the visual aspect. Thanks to the new motion-capture technology, more detailed character models, improved graphics, animations, lighting effects, and substantially richer commentary, the new edition highlights the series successful debut on the 8th generation of consoles.

The developers decided to recreate the fights between real wrestlers from WWE and NXT federations in as realistic way as possible. Among the playable characters there are both real stars and promising beginners. Traditionally, there are also a few legends of this popular sport that once were triumphant on the wrestling arenas. As for the mechanics, the title offers even more realistic combat system that enables the player not only to deal hits, but to knock an opponent over, throw him or use various objects during the fights as well.

Title features the widest, so far, range of more than 120 characters, among whom there are both present (male and female) wrestling celebrities as well as legends of the sport. In addition to the usual MyCareer mode, in which we create our own character and lead him through subsequent stepping stones, the game features a come back of the 2K Showcase mode, in which we recreate the most iconic battles in the history of WWE.
