The first ever wrestling ECW wrestling-license fight, developed by Acclaim Entertainment. As we play at ECW Hardcore Revolution, we play spectacular duels, embodying over forty realistic players. In addition to a wide range of modes for loners, the production offers the possibility of having fun in the company of up to three players.

ECW Hardcore Revolution is the first ever fighting game based on the ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) license. Acclaim Entertainment is responsible for developing the PS1 version and the game was also released on Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Sega Dremcast consoles.

Mechanics

ECW Hardcore Revolution gameplay draws on the formula created for WWF Attitude. The game is about playing out spectacular duels - pressing the appropriate combinations of directional and geometric buttons leads to spectacular attacks and throws. However, this does not deplete the list of similarities between the two productions, because some duels can be won, for example, by throwing a rival outside the ring, which is not the case in fights fought under ECW rules.
