PC X360 PS3

WWE WrestleFest is an attempt by developers from Seed Studios to restore splendor to classic two-dimensional fighting games dedicated to American wrestling. The developers of the game were also tempted to refer to the games from the 8- and 16-bit era which is clearly visible in the graphics design.

Game modes

Players have the opportunity to play as their favorite wrestlers, including wrestling legends like John Cena, The Rock, Randy Orton, Steve "Stone Cold" Austin, Undertaker, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Rey Mysterio and Randy "Macho Man" Savage. The duels are held in the well-known arenas - Raw, SmackDown, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Saturday Night's Main Event and others.

The game offers several variants of fun. Players can try their hand at classic duels according to the rules of Royal Rumble, Steel Cage, Gauntlet and Tag Team. The Road to Wrestlemania mode is a substitute for the campaign, allowing for a series of duels with five different WWE championship belts at stake. For fans of competition with live opponents, there is a Multiplayer Madness option.

Technical aspects

WWE WrestleFest features a two-dimensional graphic design made with the use of cel-shading technology. Events on virtual rings are presented from a side perspective. The developers also deliberately reduced the color palette to achieve an effect similar to the games from 8- and 16-bit eras.
