Another entry in a fighting games series, very popular in Japan. The thing that distinguishes Fire Pro Wrestling World from other wrestling games are the game mechanics. Action is presented from an isometric point of view and almost every element of the gameplay can be adjusted to suit our preferences.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is another entry in the fighting games series that is especially popular in Japan. The game is available on PC and PS4 and was developed by Spike Chunsoft studio.

Mechanics

The thing that distinguishes Fire Pro Wrestling World from other wrestling games are the game's original mechanics. The action is presented from an isometric point of view and almost each element of the gameplay can be adjusted to suit our preferences. This is mainly connected with the wrestlers – in the beginning we get 30 players but we can also create our own wrestlers by choosing not only their appearance but also their preferred attacks (we can choose from more than 2000 attacks) and even a script that is responsible for their behavior. In addition to that we can also customize a referee that oversees fights and arenas – for example, we can select which adds we want to have on a ring. Besides classic fights we can also participate in online matches that can be played by up to four players and, in some cases, there may be an electric fence or even a minefield between players and audience.

Game modes

A characteristic feature of Fire Pro Wrestling World, released on PC and PS4, is its great variety of game modes. We can play in a single player mode (and, for example, participate in single fights or in a tournament) but we can also play with up to four players. For the first time in the series we can also play online.

Technical aspects

The graphics in Fire Pro Wrestling World are not that different from the previous games in the series. The game is still presented in a 2D environment and the graphics are still in a characteristic cartoony style. However, the wrestlers' animations are very detailed.
