The game is based on the titular Sword Coast universe, known to PC players from e.g. the legendary Baldur’s Gate. In terms of gameplay, the title invokes the classics of the genre, offering characteristic isometric view and real-time combat with active pause.

Developed by Spellbound Entertainment, the game is a tactical strategy western-style game based on the mechanics of the popular Commandos series. The action of Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive takes place in the Wild West and during the game we control a team led by gunslinger John Cooper and consisting of six cowboys with different skills. In the team there are: a simple bandit, an expert in explosives, a barber who can heal minor wounds, a poker player and an experienced gambler.

Players take on the role of rulers of one of the three kingdoms fighting to take control of China. This new title was created by Firaxis Games, a studio founded by Sid Meier. The story of XCOM: Enemy Unknown does not follow any of the plotlines started by its predecessors. Instead, it tells a new story of the war between humans and an aggressive alien race.
