The second installment of the tactical RPG series, based on the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons rulebook. Solasta 2 takes us to a fantasy continent of Neokos, allowing us to lead a team of heroes. The game offers a complex turn-based battle system and we can either play alone or with other players in online coop.

Solasta II is the second installment in the tactical RPG series, launched in 2021. Similar to the first part, the sequel was developed by the independent studio Tactical Adventures, and it was based on the rules of the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons.

Story

The action of Solasta II takes place decades after the events depicted in the original. The game takes us to the fantasy continent of Neokos, where our team goes in search of their family heritage. On the spot, it turns out that the land is threatened by a mysterious, ancient Shadwyn. From now on, our actions and decisions will influence the future of both the heroes themselves and the entire Neokos.

Gameplay

In Solasta 2 events are presented in an isometric view. After creating a team (we can decide on the races and professions of the characters), there is nothing left for us to do but to plunge into the whirl of adventures. We must explore the land and get to know its inhabitants, as well as complete a series of quests.

Battles with opponents, which take place in turn-based mode, play an important role here. Similar to the first part of the series, on the battlefield we can not only make use of weapons, skills and spells of individual characters, but also use the environment to our advantage. For example, we can block passages, destroy objects or drop them on our enemies.

As we progress, we develop our characters and equip them with increasingly better gear, which over time allows them to face greater challenges.
