Paralives PC

Paralives is an independent production focused on the construction of houses and the management of everyday life of characters created by us in an open world. One man is responsible for the game - Alex Massé, known for PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator.

Plot

In Paralives, our task is to create one or more characters and then manage them to meet their basic needs. These are related to satisfying hunger or physiological needs, but also higher-order needs, such as aspirations or dreams. We can also decide to completely oppose the approach to our little man and watch him as he drowns in misery and grief. It's all in our hands.

Mechanics

Paralives is strongly inspired by The Sims, but that doesn't mean that the two titles are identical. The difference is mainly visible in the system of building houses and furnishing them with furniture and accessories. We have a special wizard at our disposal, whose capabilities are not limited by a separate grid. Thanks to this we can freely construct walls of any length, width, and even with different angles of inclination adapted to our vision. The same goes for the furniture. Here we also freely manage their dimensions, choose the right color and texture and additional accessories. This is done by dragging the corners of an object.

All this means that in the game world we can freely reproduce our home or apartment or plan the decor before the general renovation. Especially that the creator offers us an additional tool in the form of a tape measure converting real centimeters into those used in the game.

Building is an important part of the game, but the same goes for managing the lives of our created heroes. After putting them in the right home, we can decide how our client should live and what to do. We can also leave him alone and watch him manage without our interference. It depends on us whether his life will take place in the closed walls of the house, or whether we will let him explore the area where there are parks, shops, lakes and many other attractions connected with them, which will make his time more pleasant.

Technical aspects

The game has support for Steam Workshop, which means that everyone can design their own furniture or accessories, which other players can then download to decorate their created homes with it.

Paralives is maintained in a pastel style, which offers a picture of peace and idyll during four seasons of the year.
