Characters in Paralives Won't Get Bored Like Sims; Free Time Better Spent
The developers of Paralives have shared new details about the upcoming life simulator. The game will feature an autonomy system, which is something you won't find in The Sims.
Paralives is a game that all fans of life simulators should keep an eye on. Since the first footage of the game was revealed, Paralives Studios has been surprising the community with a fresh approach to the game genre dominated by The Sims genre.
Last month, we saw the almost unlimited possibilities in creating dreamlike "styles" for our characters in the game. And now, in a recently made public update on the game's Patreon, the developer has focused on the autonomy system of the characters.
"in Paralives your characters will be able to decide for themselves to perform certain interactions," reads Alex Massé's briefing note.
And although The Sims 4 is no stranger to this type of feature, creators of Paralives have put much more emphasis on more "human behavior" of the characters.. Compared to Sims, who can go to work on their own, use the toilet or - in case of boredom - play on the computer, Parafolk (the characters of Paralives) are able to do much more, such as automatically clean the house or make music. On the other hand, when they get hungry, they will head to the refrigerator grab a snack.
It is worth mentioning that the autonomy system will be able to be turned off in the game menu. In this case, the Parafolk will rely only on our decisions.
Massé stressed that regardless of whether the option is deactivated, some actions, such as death will still take place automatically. If we cut off the characters from being able to meet their needs, the autonomy system will send them to gaming heaven.
The developer stressed that: "adding more deaths to the game is something he's really looking forward to." So it seems that in Paralives won't shy away from dead bodies.
So there is nothing left for us to do but to be patient and look forward to the release of Paralives. Its date, unfortunately, has not yet been announced.
