ATOM RPG Description
ATOM RPG is a turn-based RPG that is a spiritual successor to the first two installments in the Fallout series. The player assumes the role of one of the last humans after the world was destroyed in the nuclear war. The game was created by the Atom Team studio.
Plot
The world inATOM RPG is a post-nuclear desert, created as a result of the conflict between the Soviet Union and the West. The player is one of the survivors of the conflict. He traverses the remains of the former Soviet Union to find his own place in the world and to discover a conspiracy that could lead to the destruction of the remnants of humanity.
Mechanics
ATOM RPG is a classic RPG game with action shown from the isometric perspective and the turn-based combat system. The player travels through the former Soviet Union. The world is full of threats ranging from radiation to mutated fauna and humans. The fact that the hero needs food does not help either. Avoiding death from hunger will require trading with encountered NPCs or learning the ability to obtain food from other sources.
During the exploration, the hero also encounters a number of towns and smaller settlements. They are inhabited by larger concentrations of mankind remaining alive. Whether the player will be able to enter them and gain free access to the places there without bloodshed depends on the attitude towards the protagonist. Additional side missions can also be found in peaceful settlements.
Another important element in ATOM RPG is character creation. For this purpose an extensive tool was created, which allows you to personalize the hero as much as possible. Statistics also play an important role. Different combinations give access to unique dialogues or alternative mission endings.
Technical aspects
ATOM RPG features visuals dominated by dark colors. It was also made sure that the settlements encountered by the player reflected the spirit of the Soviet Union. On the buildings you can find, among other things, propaganda murals characteristic for that period. The soundtrack also contributes to this atmosphere. The NPCs you meet have their own unique dialogue paths, which makes the in-game world more realistic.
