The contenders are equipped with large boxing gloves propped on springs that allow them to extend to large distances. We can choose from a number of fighters, with each having unique traits and abilities. Additionally, we can choose a set of gloves that correspond to our playstyle – e.g. a slow albeit powerful model, or a speed-oriented set.

The action of the game takes place in year 2187, when a female warrior named Ramlethal, who leads creatures called Valentine, declares war against humanity. The campaign of the game consists of chapters focused on various characters and the cutscenes between the fights are similar to visual novels.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is a remastered version of the second game from the popular fighting game series, initially released in 1991. It was developed by Capcom and UDON Entertainment. The new edition has received a series of improvements and tweaks. There are two completely new playable characters available: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Each of the available fighters has their own story and set of moves, attacks, and combos. The game's visuals were also improved.

A mobile entry in two-dimensional fighting game series from Lab Zero, developed by the team at Hidden Variable. Skullgirls Mobile is quite different from its full-scale predecessor. Instead of hardcore fighting title, the gameplay is somewhat casual, with some RPG features. We create a group of three warriors, between each we can freely switch during battles. We can choose from both old faces (e.g. Filia or Big Band) and completely new fighters.

Like in its predecessor, in Injustice 2 you play as the characters from the DC universe, fighting each other in violent duels. The game features minimal plot, in which Batman and his supporters try to rebuild the society, but at the same time have to fight against Superman and his allies.

The heroes we control try to learn about the roots of the endless conflict, which takes loads of fighting. The gameplay of Rivals of Aether, designed by Dan Fornace, comes down to fighting numerous battles on numerous 2D arenas.

Furthermore, the game gives us an opportunity to personalize the character.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction

The gameplay is faithful to the roots of the series – BlazBlue: Central Fiction focuses on duels fought in two-dimensional environment.

In contrast to the majority of other installments in the franchise, famous for very detailed 2D graphics, The King of Fighters XIV offers fully three-dimensional arenas. This greatly impacts the gameplay, making it more similar to the Tekken or Dead or Alive series. The King of Fighters IV is the first installment in the series to be released on PlayStation 4.

The game was co-developed by Arc System Works and Daisuke Ishiwatari who has not only directed the game’s development, but also composed the soundtrack for the title. Guilty Gear Xrd –Revelator- is an extended edition of Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-. The improvements change the game’s balance and fix some of the bugs.

A 3D fighting game in the vein of Power Stone that is a debut project of the French studio Piranaking. Lastfight is based on a popular comic LASTMAN. In contrast to classic beat‘em ups in which the characters move on two-dimensional stages, Lastfight introduces small 3D arenas. This way, the player can try to get their opponent from behind, or use the elements of the environment – for example, hitting an enemy with an armchair.
One Piece: Burning Blood

Another installment in the popular 3D fighting game series based on the best-selling Japanese comic books created by Eiichiro Oda. The title was co-developed by Namco Bandai Games and Spike Chunsoft studio – the creators of Danganronpa and the Conception series. The plot is not very sophisticated as it serves only as a pretext for the most famous One Piece fighters to engage in duels. The game includes all of the important characters from the original manga.

A three-dimensional fighting game with Pokémon. Pokkén Tournament has been made by the key creators of the Tekken and Soulcalibur series. It was initially released in Japanese arcades in July 2015. Wii U console version introduces many fixes, as well as a single player mode. Fights take the form of one on one duels on closed arenas.

An expanded edition of Mortal Kombat X by NetherRealm, released in April 2015 as the tenth installment in the cult fighting game series which was launched back in 1992 on arcade machines. The action takes place 25 years after the events of the original game and tells a completely new story, in which new characters, for example: Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade’s daughter, play a major role. The gameplay mechanics were not changed significantly – it is still a 2.
