I Am The Hero is one of many games created by independent Chinese Crazyant studio, known mainly to fans of mobile productions.

Plot

The story prepared by the developers is not quite clear. Players take on the role of a mysterious hero with an even more mysterious past. During the game, secrets are revealed to us, but in fact the storyline is only a prelude to combat.

Mechanics

I Am The Hero is a representative of 2D beat'em up genre. The characters can move to the right and left, jump, and strike enemies with various blows, including special attacks. The gameplay system is quite simple, but requires some dexterity and a combination of moves to create combos. Thanks to this, the opponents lose energy faster and they have less room to show off. So you can knock the enemy into the air, hit him instantly, inflict a few blows on him in flight, and then send him to the ground and even fall on him, leading out another blow.

Game modes

In I Am The Hero we can play in two main modes. First of all, a story campaign has been prepared, which can be completed both as a single player and as a co-op variant (local and online). Also, there is a Survival Mode, in which our task is to stay alive for as long as possible.

Technical aspects

The I Am The Hero graphic design features a unique style that combines 2D and 3D elements. Although the production was made in the technique of pixel art, it differs from many other titles imitating games from years ago. The project looks quite modern, even though the characters and locations are pixeled.
