Bierzerkers

Bierzerkers is an online co-op fighting game, set in a Viking universe, from the Shield Break studio. The team is made out of ex-employees of such companies as Blizzard, Activision or Riot Games; the crew members have participated in the creation of many legendary titles, including Warcraft, Halo, Call of Duty, StarCraft, Diablo and League of Legends.

The action of the game takes place in the Nordic afterlife, which has its influence on the production’s art style. The player-controlled heroes are, in accordance to the title, dedicated beer fanatics. The characters belong to several different classes and specialize in different kinds of weapons, such as swords, maces, daggers or bows. The gameplay comes down to skirmishes between two teams of Vikings; cooperation and playing our class to its advantages are essential steps on path to victory. The fighting mechanics combine elements of classical action fighting games with hack-and-slash type combat. The developers have not paid any attention towards realism, while trying to offer the players as much fun as possible, along with a very unique feeling and style of the title.
