A mobile entry in two-dimensional fighting game series from Lab Zero, developed by the team at Hidden Variable. Skullgirls Mobile is quite different from its full-scale predecessor. Instead of hardcore fighting title, the gameplay is somewhat casual, with some RPG features. We create a group of three warriors, between each we can freely switch during battles. We can choose from both old faces (e.g. Filia or Big Band) and completely new fighters.

Skullgirls, a 2D fighting game, debuted in 2012. The game received positive reviews by the players. Two years later, the developers released Skullgirls Encore. Lab Zero, the developer of both games, has finally decided to move the series to the mobile market. Skullgirls Mobile was developed by a different team, called Hidden Variable Studios.

Mechanics

Skullgirls Mobile, for the AND and iOS, differs from the previous games from this series. First of all, we don't have to deal with hardcore battles that require the player to devote a lot of time to train. Instead, the developers prepared a casual combat game with RPG elements. During the game, we create small groups of three characters which can be switched during the clash. The game offers characters know from other games in this series, e.g. Filia and Big Band. We develop all warriors during the adventure - this gives us access to new attacks.
