This page of the guide to the FUT 22 mode in FIFA 22 explains what Marquee Matchups are, how to prepare for them and how you can earn money from them.
Marquee Matchups are SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) that appear in the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team mode each week. SBC's Marquee Matchups usually consist of four specific tasks, which are related to the four highlighted football matches played globally in a given week. These are mostly high stakes matches, such as Champions League or league derby, but there may also be international matches and interesting games between mid-tier teams of different football leagues.
The start of SBC's Marquee Matchups
SBC's Marquee Matchups in FUT 22 mode appear every Thursday at 6 pm CET (10:00 AM PT time, 1:00 pm ET time). There is plenty of time to do the Marquee Matchups - specifically one week.
The cards used in SBC's Marquee Matchups are the most expensive on Thursday/Friday, so sometimes it's good to take your time.
Requirements
To complete SBC's Marquee Matchups you must use players from both clubs or national teams selected for the task. For example, if Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are playing against each other, you will have to use at least 1 player from both teams. You'll also have to meet other conditions, e.g. a given minimum overall lineup rating, appropriate compatibility level, the number of leagues or nationalities.
How to make money from it?
You can make good money on SBC's Marquee Matchups, but it takes a lot of preparation because you have to learn how to predict what matches might be highlighted in a given week. It is certainly worth paying attention to exceptionally promising Champions League games, e.g. PSG vs Manchester City, el clasico (FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid) or league games of top-tier teams.
Once you have picked the right matches, go to the FUT 22 transfer market and buy some gold, but cheap player cards with an overall rating of 75-78. Don't buy expensive players because everyone is always looking for the cheapest possible SBC solution anyway. Then, put up the bought cards for a higher price when SBC's Marquee Matchups start - that's when the demand will be the highest and thus their price will go up.
If you don't predict the SBC's Marquee Matchups teams correctly, don't worry, because you will simply invest in cheap players that you can leave for next week.
