FIFA 22: Goalkeeper - how to control him?

Positioning the goalkeeper

Depending on whether you're using a keyboard or a controller to play FIFA 22 you'll have to use a different button combination:

1. Controller: press and hold down R3 (right analog stick), then move it in the desired direction to make the goalkeeper head this way;
2. Keyboard: press and hold down F4, then move the goalkeeper with the 2, 4, 6 and 8 keys on the num-pad.

Covering Far Post

Covering the Far Post in FIFA 22 is simple and can be done this way:

1. Controller: press and hold R3 (right analog stick);
2. Keyboard: press and hold the T key.

Running out into the field

Moving the goalkeeper out into the field can be useful when the opponent manages to make a long pass behind your defenders. If this situation happens you can take a risk and have the goalkeeper move forward by pressing and holding down the Triangle (PS) / Y (XBOX) / A (keyboard) button.
