System requirements Farming Simulator 17 Guide
Last update: 31 October 2016
Farming Simulator 17 isn't a very demanding game. The previous installments had their share of problems, including problems with full SLI support, or the game was optimized for uncommon graphic cards (focusing on mobile GPUs). When it comes to the new edition, most of the problems have been eliminated. The graphics have been quite improved, and keep a satisfying level, but the optimalization barely reaches the "satisfactory" mark. However, rich graphical customization allows running the game even on older rigs, while additional options can get the best out of the most powerful machines. Fortunately, you shouldn't have any problems with start-up or errors/shutdowns. Keep in mind that all settings (not only graphics, but sound and controls) can only be modified from the main menu.
Attempts to use a gamepad with the PC version may end with technical errors. Mapping of practically all buttons is required, and flawless performance is not guaranteed - a Xbox/PlayStation gamepad is recommended.
