Strategic Tips Farming Simulator 17 Guide

More money can be made by growing plants that yield small harvest, but are more valuable - transporting is less of a hustle, and there are less price fluctuations in the store.
Initially, try to sell everything that you harvest (unless the prices are really low) - the initial profit is scant, and when you sell a large quantity at once, the price in the store drops down during transferring the goods to their storage.
You can use a pick-up to transport the basic trailers - it's the fastest and the cheaper way.
Don't attempt to kill all birds with one stone - set some basic goals, you can switch to a different sector later if needed. The strategy that involves trying everything brings small value. You can change crops from time to time - it's recommended - to adapt to the ever-changing market.
You should consider animal husbandry as soon as possible to get some free fertilizer. Pigs are easiest to care for.
Do not buy better tractor attachments if your tractor has less than 80% of required power. It won't be able to travel with maximal speed, which can result in an unfruitful modernization, and your new device will cost much more work hours, not to mention extra exploitation costs.
You can use more than one device on one field. However, keep the distance between the machines, and take notice of their speed - avoid situations where the devices block themselves.
Control your employees! They often get stuck, stopping their activity, but it doesn't stop them from drawing a salary. To fight clogging, keep a distance between the vehicles, and remove any obstacles around the field - including trees, which can be cut using a manual chainsaw, and thrown away using your bare hands. Often, when, for example, a harvester stops working as a result of tank overflow, beacon lights start to flash above it.
If you own a remote field, remember that you don't have to cart everything back to the silo - sell the crop instantly, or store it near the field.
Before you start buying extra tractors for additional activities, check if there aren't any machines that can perform two actions at once (for example, a seeder with a cultivator)
