ETS2: Garage - Basics Euro Truck 2 Guide
Last update: 19 May 2021
The garage is a base for your truck and a driver. You need place for a truck before you buy it (the same with a driver). When you start your game you have the smallest garage (located in a selected city). You can keep there only one vehicle. This garage is a simply symbolic place for your company headquarters. You do not have to go there to upgrade your truck or take any managing-related steps. The garage location is crucial when you expand your company and hire employees.
The game offers you three types of garages. The smallest one is the one you start with - it has enough space for one car. You can upgrade it to a small garage for EUR 180,000. All cities (apart from yours) have empty small garages which you can buy for EUR 180,000. Small garages offer enough space for three vehicles. Upgrading a small garage to a big one will cost you EUR 100,000 and it will give you additional space - room for five trucks and their drivers.
Garage size | Purchase/upgrade cost | Space |
The smallest one | EUR 0 (you have one at the beginning) | 1 |
Small | EUR 180,000 (buy new one or upgrade the smallest one) | 3 |
Big | EUR 100,000 (upgrading small garage) | 5 |
You need to think how to spend EUR 180,000 when you expand your company. When you upgrade your garage you gain space for two trucks (the third is taken by you). But when you buy a new one, you get space for three new vehicles and their drivers.
Further expansion is also tricky. To gain space for two extra trucks you need to spend EUR 100,000. But when you buy third and another small garage you pay EUR 180,000 and have space for three vehicles (it means that one space costs EUR 60,000 instead of EUR 50,000). Therefore, it is worth upgrading garages into big ones.
A big garage gives you one more advantage. You have your own gas station next to it with a bit lower prices (about EUR 0.20 in comparison with other gas stations).
