Icarus - Strogg - Vehicles - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Icarus

Icarus is a gravpack/jetpack allowing single troopers to fly. Icarus is able to lift its user for only few seconds. After that, its engines have to regenerate. Although that disadvantage, jetpack is a great mean of transport. Icarus is armed with stroybombs, which are similar to grenades. They work fine against infantry, turrets and light vehicles. Their disadvantage is the long period of time between launching a stroybomb and its explosion. Because of that, enemy infantry and machines may run away from the lethal radius. Moreover, don't forget that the Icarus can be attacked by an antivehicle turret. The biggest Icarus' con is its armour (or the lack of it). Players who achieve first vehicle experience level may call for an Icarus airdrop.

Hog - Strogg - Vehicles - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Hog

This vehicle has two seats - one for the driver, and the second for gunner, operating the hyperblaster installed on the vehicle's roof. The Hog has quite thin armour, but its speed compensates that con. Remember that when you turn on the boost, the machine generates a special shield on the front bumper. It doesn't stop enemy bullets or missiles, but it allows to hit opponent's vehicles and turrets (and so damaging them) without destroying the Hog. For example, a head-on crash with an MCP takes about 1/3 of its energy. The Hog ends even without a scratch.

Desecrator - Strogg - Vehicles - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Desecrator

Strogg tank. It is quite tough, but it still hasn't as thick armour as GDF Titan. Desecrator hovers over the ground, and that means it can strafe and move even over water. What is more, by clicking the 'crouch' button, you can turn off the vehicles engines. As a result, it'll land on the ground and improve its reload time. Beside the driver, there is also a place for a shooter, operating a hyperblaster installed on the turret.

Tormentor - Strogg - Vehicles - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Tormentor

Very interesting flying machine. The pilot - besides steering - uses the Strocket launcher (great against enemy vehicles) and a plasma gun (works nice against any other types of units). The Tormentor is a vertical start machine and maximum amount of its crewmembers is 2. There's also a gunner, operating a hyperblaster.

Cyclops - Strogg - Vehicles - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Cyclops

The highest, the toughest, and the most devastating vehicle in the game. It is equipped with plasma weapon, effective against enemy land vehicles, infantry and turrets. Just like Desecrator, after clicking the 'crouch' button, the Cyclops goes into a siege mode, which disables its walking ability, but improves the reload time. If we (in the walking mode) press the 'jump' button, the Cyclops will perform a powerful stomp, killing all troopers near the vehicle. Cyclops has a one big disadvantage - it is extremely slow, too big (easy target for enemies armed with rocket launchers) and its respawn time is probably the longest in the game. There's enough room for only one crewmember.
