Artyom finally breaks out of the stifling tunnels to the surface and embarks on the journey of a lifetime abord the Aurora – a train borrowing the name of the famous cruiser whose main batteries were to signal the revolutionaries to storm the Winter Palace. This is no coincidence – Metro Exodus also brought a revolution (though only in its series), which – drawing ideas from Dmitri Glukhovsky's books – overtook what was written down in reality and blazed a new track along the Volga River.
The percentage of people who have made it through this game is small, but at the same time difficult to count. There were two endings, and there is a separate trophy for each of them. Certainly some of the players who didn't get to see the good ending the first time around have tried it again. Note that the percentage of players who saw the good end is higher on Steam. However, these were the biggest fans who pre-ordered the game before it hit Epic Games Store.
Personally, I have to admit that I got stuck somewhere in the snowfields of Russia and somehow cannot bring myself to continue this adventure, although I flashed through the upgraded editions of previous two installments. That said, you will not find me in the statistics below, as my main tool in such cases is Microsoft's hardware. And you didn't finish the game, because...?
Did you know that as many as 4.5% of players on Steam completed Metro Exodus for the second time in "New Game" mode? That's roughly one-twentieth of the total number. For such an extensive title, causing so many trouble to people trying to complete it even once, I think that's quite a lot.
