Table of Contents
Release date: September 20, 2018

More than half of players completed God of War. A game that is long and offers many side-effects that distract and enchant with various promises. And yet most of people who launched it on their console have witnessed the touching scene of Faye's ashes being scattered. This is a testament to the quality of the game itself and the unrivalled craftsmanship of its director Cory Barlog, previously responsible for the brilliant God of War 2 for PlayStation 2. And to the fact that it's just a piece of solid adventure with Kratos who can somehow make the word "boy" sound like the nastiest curse word in the world.
For obvious reasons, we cannot present the results from Steam in the table below. PC and Xbox gamers shouldn't expect their own "Kratos" in any future that would be measurable in light-years (yes, yes, I know a light-year is for distance). And I'm not exaggerating in this case, Sony has registered trademarks ending in PS10 for a reason. Anyone who prophesied the imminent end of consoles should now think twice before sharing another piece of their wisdom. In any case, rumors of the death of this market seem to be greatly exaggerated.
Did you know that Cory Barlog mentioned even before the game's launch that the God Of War series would be continued? With the game reaching over 10 million customers (as of May 2019), more than five million people have completed it. Sony certainly won't underestimate such potential.
