Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a peculiar case. The game was released six-and-a-half years ago and it seems almost everyone interested should have finished it by now. And yet, only about 20% of its owners have done so, but it is possible that someone who completed their first playthrough tried raising the bar on the second attempt.
But another matter is quite interesting. A very important thing for fans of the series from the first part onwards, was for the game to incorporate such design that it could be completed without killing anyone. Human Revolution fall short in this respect, as every act of the show requires us to eliminate a boss, who must simply be killed. But bosses aside, the rest of the game gives plenty of opportunities to penetrate the nooks and crannies of available locations without having to resort to final solutions.
Looking at the statistics associated with completing the game without killing the opponents, the question arises why do fans and developers put so much emphasis on this aspect, when few people bother to try sneaking past the enemies silently, or using taser or tranquilizers at most.
Did you know that even fewer people have completed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided? Only 17.1% of PlayStation 4 gamers reached the end of the game on any difficulty level. According to popular opinion, the sequel is weaker than its predecessor, so it would all add up. On PC, this result turns out to be much, much higher, reaching 32.2%.
