Saber duels in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth? Why not (photo - Hellish Quart, Kubold, 2023)!
  1. Genre: fighting game set in the 17th-century Poland
  2. Creators: Kubold
  3. Platform: PC
  4. Is this another production in this universe: no
  5. Is it a developer debut: yes

The world of fighting games with shared screen is ruled almost completely by cult-classic series as Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball Fighter Z or Street Fighter. These are all fantasy - heroes equipped with unrealistic melee weapons, having superhuman strength and dexterity, throwing fireballs or defeating enemies with fancy futuristic guns.

The Polish studio Kubold aspires to create a fun fighting game that meticulously reproduces the look, feel, and intricacies of historical weapons. In Hellish Quart, heroes are not superhuman - they are just daredevils who want to try a melee duel.

What is even more interesting is the universe itself. The duels take place (they take place, because the game can be checked out in Early Access starting from February 16, 2021) in the realities of the 17th-century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The current interest in the title so far gives the developers hope that such an unnusual idea has a chance of succeeding.
