This page of our Darksiders 3 guide contains a walkthrough for The Lowlands. They are one of the locations that make up the Scar area. From that moment, you'll have to deal with a completely different threat - a large whirlwind which cannot be destroyed (at least not yet). Get ready for a few sprints that may save Your life.

After visiting the demon Abraxis you can go to the next stage of your journey and get to the next checkpoint - the Lowlands.

Activate the Force Hollow and break the obstacle on the wall. Then attach yourself to the wall and roll over the precipice. Watch out for your opponent thrashing spears.

After eliminating enemies and collecting all items, smash the barrels to get to the narrow chimney.

Collect the item and then using the freezing essence, climb up to the top.

From now on, you'll have to fight against a completely different threat - a great tornado that can't be destroyed (at least for the time being). Get ready for a few sprints that can save your life.

Activating the portal

Activate the checkpoint first. If you mess something up with the next riddle, you'll be able to start anew easily.

Riddle 1 - the hurricane and tunnel entrance

Before you start running away from the tornado, it is worth knowing that when you press the left analog (or the key corresponding to L3 on the gamepad) you are sprinting.

Wait until the hurricane moves to the point shown in the picture above. Then jump down using the Storm Hollow and run to the entrance to the tunnel.

In the picture above, you can see the transition to the next checkpoint - The Dust Halls.

Dust Halls

Dust Halls is the next checkpoint. There's a single riddle to solve. You will also have to face the hurricane.

Activate the checkpoint as usual.

Stand on the big weight panel.

Start the feeder. Wait for a boulder and as soon as it hits the gate, you can move on.

Under the feeder you will find one hidden object.

Climb up and hit the lever.

This way you will open the big gates.

Activate the freezing essence and freeze the entire body of water. Then use the essence of power and hit the boulder.

The boulder slides on the ice sheet and slides onto the button, thus opening the door.

Riddle 2 - hurricane and another sprint

Before you, another battle with the element. Remember to use a sprint because without it you will not be able to reach your target.

Go up to the wall and activate the Force Hollow to climb to the very top.

When your upside down, turn upside down and collect the item in a small recess.

Wait until the whirlwind moves to the point shown in the picture above and run to the next tunnel. Remember to use the sprint.

Hit the levers.

This will open the door leading to the previous checkpoint.

Riddle 3 - hurricane and boulder

In the next puzzle you will have to carry out a boulder through a field with big windmills. The following is a detailed instruction on how to solve this.

Activate the Force Hollow to roll over the wall.

You will find yourself in a long room with large windmills. Your task will be to move a boulder at the very end of the room.

Walk on the footbridge and then roll over the wall. Break down the entrance blocking wall.

Collect the Artefact and then hit the boulder.

Go downstairs and push the boulder further.

When the windmills start, they will throw the boulder upwards. Roll over the wall and then stay relatively close to the boulder.

When a boulder hangs in a recess in the ceiling, you will have to go back a little. Wait for the boulder to sink and then push it towards the wall.

In this way you have created the stairs leading to the next checkpoint.

Demon's Peak

In the Demon's Peak checkpoint, you will fight another of the Chosen Ones. Defeating it will yield another Essence of a Chosen, which is necessary for upgrading enhancements.

As usual, first deal with Vulgrim, upgrade your equipment and give away Attribute points.

Riddle 5 - mobile platforms and Rejuvenation Core

As you go through this stage you have the opportunity to collect another freezing essence . The following is a detailed instruction on how to solve this.

When you leave the building, you'll have to fight two berserkers and a few smaller enemies.

Lure your opponent in the place shown in the picture above and simply hit him until he falls dead.

Behind the barricade, there is a narrow passage.

Here you will find an additional Artifact.

To jump on the rocks, you will need to use the Flame Hollow.

Your task will be to jump on the platform moving on the lift.

Jump on the platform on the left side. Watch out for the opponent throwing spears.

Below you will find an additional item.

Jump on the next platform and jump out of it when you are close to the pump shown in the picture above.

Using the freezing essence climb up to the top.

Using the Force Hollow hit the lever.

You will immobilize the mechanism and raise the gears, thus opening the passage. Go down.

Now you have to jump over the precipice. Use your main weapon for this purpose.

Going further you will come across a place where there are two smaller enemies and one illusionist. Finish your opponents and collect the Rejuvenation Core.

Riddle 6 - Belt Pipeline

To move on to the next stage, you will have to solve a riddle with a moving conveyor belt. Below you will find instructions on how to do this.

Enter a narrow corridor in the wall and crawl forward.

When you reach the conveyor belt, you must use the freezing essence to immobilize the mechanism. Freeze one part and move forward, repeating the same action.

Turn right and climb up to the top.

Now you have to bounce back from the blocks to jump to the top.

The Road to the Chosen One - The essence of the Chosen One and the human to be saved

Below you will find a description of the path that will lead you to fight against the next Chosen One and allow you to gain the Essence of the Chosen One. What's more, you'll have the opportunity to save another human.

Jump on the sliding platform.

The platform on the left will take you to the Chosen One. First finish your opponent on the left and then move on to the platform on the right.

At the bottom, you'll find a battle with several enemies and souls to gather.

When you freeze two boulder crusher shafts, you will be able to go down.

Collect the Artifact, save the man and go outside. You will have to freeze the machine again.

Hop on the wall to the top and get ready to fight with the Chosen One.

The opponent is not a big threat, so it is enough to avoid the flying rocks and slow the attacks of his weapons. Make quick counters, keep your distance and everything should go the right way.

Riddle 6 - Belt Pipeline, large boulders and another hurricane

After defeating the Chosen One you will be able to move on to the next puzzle. The solution is necessary to move on to the next stage of the game. Below you will find information on how to do this.

After the fight, squeeze into a narrow corridor in the wall and hit the lever. Exit the room through the exit on the right side.

Approach the conveyor belt and freeze it as soon as the boulders are more or less in the position as shown in the picture above. You have a few seconds to jump to the top.

A narrow passage in the wall will lead you deep into the location.

Hit the next lever to open the two gates on the sides.

Go outside, close down your opponent and climb the stairs to the top.

At the end of this corridor there is an exit to the outside. Unfortunately, a tornado is raging there.

As soon as the tornado moves to the left maximum, sprint and run to the next underground tunnel.

Refinery

At this checkpoint you will finally find a way to get rid of the tornado. Before you do this, you will have to solve one puzzle.

Activate the checkpoint first. Remember to improve your inventory and distribute Attributes points because you're about to be overtime with anger.

Riddle 7 - Under the tornado

Going a little further from the checkpoint you will find yourself in a corridor where a storm rages due to a tornado that moves on the surface. Below you will find detailed instructions on how to solve this puzzle.

Go to the other end of the tunnel and hit the boulder to get to the button.

Switch to the freezing essence and charge the attack with Salvation. Run forward and freeze the boulder, then switch to the essence of strength and sprint to the gate.

Hit the lever to get out.

Riddle 8 - How to get rid of the tornado?

As it turned out, an indestructible tornado can be killed off. Below you will find the solution.

Hit the lever to activate the pump. This way you'll pour out quite a lot of oil and create a puddle.

When the tornado is in the water, burn a puddle of oil.

You can now collect all previously unavailable items. Get ready to fight the Boss.
