Darksiders 3 trophies - introduction
- In all, there are 50 trophies available - one platinum trophy (available only on PS4), one gold, 16 silver and 32 bronze.
- Aside from the standard set of trophies, there are additional trophies available involving DLCs and New Game Plus mode - Crucible offers 6 trophies, Keepers of the Void offers 5 trophies, and New Game Plus mode is connected to 3 trophies.
- Trophies from DLCs and New Game Plus mode do not count towards the platinum trophy. This also applies to the situation in which you have a game thanks to an active PlayStation Plus subscription. PS+ users can get the platinum trophy without having to buy DLCs.
- Getting the platinum trophy can prove to be problematic because it requires finishing the game at Apocalyptic difficulty level. Apocalypse is available from the beginning, but it may prove to be too difficult if you're just starting the game and learning the game and its mechanics. Completing the game on a lower difficulty level can help you prepare for an attempt to pass it on Apocalypse.
- If you are planning to win all trophies during a single playthrough, visit the sections dedicated to For Whom the Bell Tolls, Demon Meddler, and A Parting Gift. These trophies can be missed following certain choices that appear in the game. The game does not allow creating manual saves, so a wrong decision can end up with losing the chances of getting the trophy and having to start the campaign all over again.
- Getting all the trophies can take up to 35-40 hours. A lot depends on how well you have mastered the combat system in the game. You may also have to spend additional time with the game as you may need to farm souls in the initial locations to develop the hero and facilitate some of the encounters from the later levels.
- In Darksiders 3, you can continue the game after completing the main storyline. You don't have to get all the treasures or save all the people when they appear - you may leave them for later. Clearing the available locations to achieve 100% completion can be left for later.

You can see the currently owned enhancements at the menu on the left. After choosing any of them, a tree with 4 levels of upgrades will appear. To make an improvement, you must have the appropriate items (components for crafting, such as angelic artifacts). For more information, visit Upgrading weapons and improvements section of our guide.
Can You Restore the Balance? Can You Restore the Balance?
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Upgrade an Enhancement to Balanced.
Notes: This is the next stage of Enhance!, a trophy described above. The term Balanced means the fifth slot on the enhancement tree (the one furthest to the right)
To "pay" for the upgrade, you need to have an Essence of a Chosen. You can get essences by defeating the Chosen (the screenshot shows a Cursed Templar) or by purchasing them from Vulgrim.
Balance in All Things

Humanitarian
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Save 20 Humans.
Notes: This trophy and the trophies listed above involve an optional activity where you save innocent humans. The first civilian is automatically saved in the initial stages of the game - shortly after leaving Maker's Forge and along the way to Nether - the moment is shown in the screenshot above.
Unfortunately, the locations of the remaining humans are not listed - you need to look for them on your own. You may stumble upon them in places visited as part of the main plot, though many remain in optional secret areas. You need to approach every human and press the interaction button to teleport him to the Maker's Forge.
Don't worry if you haven't found 20 people during the course of the main storyline. The search can be left for later, especially since that reaching some of the humans require certain Hollows.
Just the Start
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Upgrade Any Weapon
Notes: Weapons can be upgraded at the Maker's Forge. To upgrade a weapon, you need to have the right amount of adamantite (the required amount is shown in the Ingredients field) You can upgrade any weapon you want. For more information, visit Upgrading weapons and improvements section of our guide.
Take It to the Limit
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Upgrade Any Weapon to Max level.
Notes: This is a next stage of Just the Start, a trophy described above. A weapon can be upgraded up to 10 times. Aside from standard ingredients, you'll need a lot of Adamantite. For example, one of such objects can be acquired when exploring Pipeline Exit, a level described in our walkthrough.
Devil's in the Details
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Kill 666 enemies.
Notes: No need to worry at all about this achievement during the course of the story. Even if you do not kill the required number of enemies after completing the main plot, you can still encounter enemies in various locations. Moreover, defeated enemies respawn when the hero is killed.
Make sure to visit the description of Beast Mode. These two trophies involve the same action and you can do them at the same time.
Cleanup Crew
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Pick up 500 items.
Notes: the image above shows an example item. They can appear next to defeated opponents, but many objects of this type are also found thanks to careful exploration of the game world (try to look everywhere and destroy everything).
Every gatherable object looks like a burning orange ball. To pick it up, you need to approach it and press the interaction button. You should meet the requirements of this trophy during a single playthrough.
Beast Mode
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Defeat 666 Enemies While in Havoc Form.
Notes: Havoc Form has to be charged first. When the requirements are met, you can activate it by pressing
- PC version: Z
- PS4 version: L1+R2
- XONE version: LB+RT
Every time you are ready to activate Havoc Form, wait until you reach an area with a larger group of opponents. Activate it only then, so that you rack up a lot of enemies.
There is a high probability that you won't get this achievement during a single playthrough, but fortunately, you can return to previous locations after completing the game, as new opponents will appear in previously visited locations.
Protector of Humanity
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Complete the game on any difficulty level.
Notes: You can choose any difficulty level you like. Even the easiest difficulty level will do.
Path of the Horseman
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Complete the Game on NORMAL difficulty level.
. Notes: It should be mentioned that you can unlock Protector of Humanity during the same playthrough.
Death Incarnate
Trophy type: Gold
How to unlock: Complete the game on APOCALYPTIC.
Notes: Apocalyptic is a very high difficulty setting - this trophy is the most difficult to gain in the whole game. It should be mentioned that Apocalyptic setting is available from the beginning, but attempting to complete the game without experiencing the boss encounters and various abilities available to the player on lower difficulty levels may be very demanding.
How to survive when playing on the highest difficulty level?
- Choose one of the initial locations where you encounter a lot of simple opponents. Return to these places many times to accumulate as many souls as you can. This will allow you to advance to higher experience levels and upgrade your hero. Thanks to souls, you'll be able to pay for all permanent upgrades available from Vulgrim.
- Try to gather as many Nephlim Respites as possible before fighting bosses and other strong opponents. It is also recommended to increase the amount of regenerations available.
- Lock the camera on strong opponents, to make them much easier to track. Master the ability to dodge, which allows you to return with strong counterattacks.
- Use the fact that bosses don't have to be attacked in one fixed order. You can leave the most difficult opponents for later and start with exploring locations that are less of a challenge.
You can ignore Reckoning (the highest difficulty level) as it isn't connected to any of the trophies. By finishing the game on Apocalyptic difficulty setting, you can unlock both Protector of Humanity and Way of the Horseman trophies.
Holy Keeper
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Collect 50 Angelic Artifacts.
Notes: Angelic Artifacts are a type of loot found while completing the main story and when exploring the world.
Alternatively, you can buy angelic artifacts from Vulgrim, but each next item will be more and more expensive. Consider this option only if you have only a few artifacts left to unlock the trophy.
Demon Keeper
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Collect 50 Demonic Artifacts.
Notes: Demonic Artifacts are a type of loot found during completing the main story and exploration of the world.
Alternatively, you can also buy demonic artifacts from Vulgrim, and each next item will be more and more expensive. Consider this option only if you have only a few artifacts left to unlock the trophy.
One of the Chosen
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Get an Essence of a Chosen.
Notes: The more obvious way to get the Essence of a Chosen is to take it from one of the Chosen. Throughout the game, you can encounter several of these opponents. This type of mini-boss is shown in the screenshot above - Templar of the Damned encountered in Forgotten Lake. A walkthrough for the Templar battle can be found in our guide.
A less obvious way to get the essence is to buy it from a Vulgrim. It's an expensive artifact, so consider it a last resort.
First of Many...
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Spend an Attribute Point.
Notes: As a reminder - attribute points can be attained by transferring acquired souls to Vulgrim. The mechanic is described in detail in Character Development section of our guide.
An alternative method is to find Luminous Visages. Each of them guarantees 1 attribute point after it is selected from the inventory and broken. Luminous Visages are found in the same way as normal loot i.e. by gathering orange orbs.
After you have scored the first attribute point, open the character menu and select any of the three attributes - Life, Strength, or Magic.
25 to Life
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Spend 25 Attribute Points.
Notes: This is a follow-up to First of Many, the trophy described above. You have to get a total of 25 attribute points and spend them in the character's menu.

Increased Capacity
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Upgrade Nephilim's Respite Capacity.
Notes: Nephilim's Respite can be upgraded by spending Invigoration Cores. They can be found among the normal loot, so check all orange orbs. Getting a Invigoration Core automatically upgrades your Nephilim's Respite to offer more uses. You do not need to perform any additional actions.
Maximum Capacity
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Upgrade Nephilim's Respite Capacity 4 times
Notes: This is a follow-up to Increased Capacity, a trophy described above You need to find a total of four Invigoration Cores.
Increased Vigor
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Upgrade the healing of Nephilim's Respite.
Notes: Nephilim's Respite Healing can be upgraded thanks to Rejuvenation Cores. The easiest way of gaining a Rejuvenation Core is buying it from Vulgrim for 5000 souls (screenshot above)
Alternatively, you can look for cores while exploring the world of the game. Make sure to check all the orange orbs.
Maximum Vigor
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Upgrade Nephilim's Respite Healing Amount 4 Times
Notes: This is a follow-up to Increased Vigor, a trophy described above. You need to get a total of four Rejuvenation Cores. One of them can be purchased from Vulgrim. Unfortunately, he doesn't put any more up for sale.
Demon Meddler
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Meet Abraxis.
Notes: This trophy can be missed since the meeting with Abraxis is optional. We've described how to reach Abraxis in our walkthrough. In particular, we are talking about the following pages of the walkthrough

Purity of Power
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Collect 3 Chunks of Adamantine
Notes: Chunks of Adamantine have a much more unique status than the small pieces associated with 3 other trophies described above. You have to rely on exploration, and that's because it's impossible to buy them from Vulgrim. To find Chunks, look in the locations such as Nether, Boneland, and The Scar. Reaching them may require certain powers, so it is recommended to wait until the heroine gets access to all Hollows.
Salvation
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Collect Salvation
Notes: Salvation is a throwing weapon which is automatically obtained in the course of the game. As a result, you can't miss this trophy. Salvation is a reward for defeating Angelic Champion - a mini-boss encountered in Boneland - a walkthrough for this level can be found in our guide.
Soul Harvester
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Collect 100,000 souls.
Notes: this trophy should be unlocked without much hassle. Acquired souls can be spent at Vulgrim on a regular basis. No need to keep them in the "inventory".
Soul Reaper
Trophy type: Silver
How to unlock: Collect 1,000,000 souls.
Notes: This is the more difficult version of the Soul Harvester trophy. You probably won't be able to collect a million souls during the course of the story, but you can go back to earlier locations and, for example, farm souls by killing respawning opponents.
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Kill Lust Without Defeating Usiel
Note: This trophy can be missed if Usiel is defeated before Lust. This achievement is associated with the fight against Lust, who is one of the main bosses of the game. The confrontation with Lust takes place when exploring Boneland.
The first part of the battle with Lust has a traditional course. After she loses half of her health a cut-scene will begin depicting the appearance of Usiel. The Archangel will join Lust, and together they will attack the main character.
In the second phase of the battle, avoid attacking Usiel (he has a separate health bar) and focus solely on damaging Lust. The battle will end when Lust is taken care of. You will watch the scene with a conversation with Usiel that ends with letting him live.
Love Tap
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Defeat the Kraken.
Notes: Kraken is a huge monster which you first encounter when exploring Boneland. However, the trophy involves the second encounter with the beast, which takes place after taking care of Lust (one of the bosses). Killing the Kraken is mandatory when it comes to the main storyline, and so this trophy cannot be missed.
A Parting Gift
Trophy type: Bronze
How to unlock: Receive the Lord of the Hollows' Final Gift
Notes: Trophy can be missed if chosen the wrong dialogue option. The main character must first reach Abraxis which is part of a trophy called Demon Meddler. During the meeting, you're left with a choice - choose the variant that involves killing Abraxis.
After killing Abraxis, you need to return to Lord of Hollows. The visit involves another decision - choose an option that involves sparing the Lord of the Hollows. Choosing this option ends with a reward - you receive a Mysterious Stone Sigil.
