Wildcards are a regular feature of the Black Ops series. They allow you to break the standard rules for creating a character class.
How do wildcards work?
Wildcards allow for additional changes in the character class. Initially, you will only have access to one wildcard - you will unlock more along with your progress. Below you will find the descriptions of the 4 wildcards:
- Danger Close - available from Level 4. You can choose additional tactical and lethal equipment. You also take additional ammo with you,
- Law Breaker - available from Level 21. You can choose weapons of any class in two slots. In addition, you can equip several perks from one category,
- Gunfighter - available from Level 27. You get 3 additional attachment slots for the primary weapon.
- Perk Greed - available from Level 35. You can equip an additional perk from each category.
Which one is the best?
The most important is choosing a wildcard which will suit you best. Probably the best card is the Perk Greed one (this is one of the reasons why you get it only at level 45). In total, thanks to this wildcard, you can have 6 perks.
Another very good card is Law Breaker. It might be useful to snipers, because it allows to choose a universal assault rifle instead of a pistol as a secondary weapon. This card increases your versatility on the battlefield.
Danger Close and Gunfighter are less appealing, because they give you much less of an edge on the battlefield. It is much better to have more perks than more grenades or weapon slots.
