This section of the Call of Duty Cold War guide concerns the End of the Line mission. End of the Line is the seventh campaign mission. You will launch a frontal attack on the enemy.
The mission consists of open fights. In general, you don't have to look for any evidence here. At the end of the mission, however, you will have to make a choice.
Keep in mind that this is your last chance to open the gate to the hidden room in the base. This is also your last chance to complete the Operation Red Circus and Operation Chaos side missions.

Get to the camera room
At the very beginning, you will meet Lazar and Park. You start the mission with a pretty strong sniper rifle, but as far as the pistol is concerned, it's better to change it as soon as you have the opportunity. Go to the church together and turn right. Join Park and Lazar, break the door open. You'll be joining forces with Adler soon. Go out to the square - you're about to face a fight.
There should be a ladder on the left side of the road - it's an excellent spot with a view over the whole square, so use the sniper rifle here. Enemies can be found in the square, in the windows and on the roof. There will be two waves of enemies, so prepare for a longer fight. There's an SMG station at the main entrance - make sure no one approaches it. When you're done, go inside. Head into the garden with the others. You will find 3 enemies along the way.
In the garden, you will see mines - clear them (shoot at them or approach them close enough to unlock the interaction option). Below you will find a photo of what the mines look like.
Enemies will come every now and then, so deal with them. Go further. On the upper floor you will find enemies, one of which will have a missile launcher. Eliminate them. Use the pillars so you can have cover if necessary. Once you've dealt with them, go ahead, deal with subsequent enemies until you reach the camera room.
Use the computer and find camera number 4. This is how you will find room 27-B, you will see how someone enters the room and kills the scientists.
Locate the scientists
Plant the C4 on the door and join the rest of the team. Run up the stairs, turn right. Eliminate all soldiers on the way and enter room 21-A. Your rivals are waiting for you inside. Keep walking. At some point, you'll see the scientists running away. If you are fast enough and shoot down the enemies in time, you will be able to save the scientists and complete the challenge. There are also enemies on the roof.
Continue searching for the scientists with your allies until you reach room 27-B. Take the evidence you need from the table and talk to the scientist who's at the last gasp.
Escape through the roof
After meeting the barely alive scientist, go ahead with your team and eliminate everything that stands in your way. At some point, the path will end - go through the window as in the photo below.
Keep going up to the roof until you regroup with the others. You will be informed that the enemy forces are attacking your position. Defend yourself as long as it's needed, use sniper rifles, assault rifles, grenades. You will find some weapons and grenades to pick up nearby. At first you will be attacked by the snipers from the right side of the roof.
After that, new enemies will be running on the left side along the balconies. Pay attention to the buildings on the left side - enemies like to climb up to the roof. At some point, you'll get air support - use it immediately.
Enemies will be highlighted the whole way through It is best to use the smallest possible caliber or a mix of calibers since the smallest caliber is the fastest to reload. Quick and efficient bombing of enemies will earn a completed challenge. After this sequence, you will see a rope between your allies - use it and go on with the defence. No matter how fiercely you fight, you'll be hit by an RPG rocket. You will your badly wounded companions. You will have to choose who to save.
You have 3 options: save Lazar, save Park or save no one. No matter what choice you make (BUT it will affect the ending), the mission will end. Any action taken will be noted and recalled in the summary of the campaign.
