Try different difficulty levels
Some levels, such as Operation Red Circus or Identity Crisis are quite difficult, mainly because there are a lot of enemies around. If you cannot complete these missions, it is worth changing the difficulty level. This can be done during the mission in the main menu, as in the picture above.
Use covers especially at higher difficulty levels
Give yourself some time - enemies always outnumber you. If there is no time limit, give yourself a moment to sit under cover. It's often impossible to push forward all the time. Often in missions you have a sniper rifle as your second weapon - you can make use of it by leaning out for a moment and killing enemies in one shot.
Explore the location if possible
It often happens that somewhere in the side alleys are hidden collectibles and evidence needed for additional missions. Try to search locations, because in addition to evidence and slot machines, you can also find other weapons, boxes of ammunition and grenades.
Find the right weapon for your playing style
You can pick up weapons not only from killed enemies. Often in rooms and chests you can find other weapons, that can make the game much easier for you (e.g. grenade launcher or minigun). Sometimes you can also choose weapons at the beginning of the mission (e.g. in the first mission Nowhere Left to Run). Take advantage of this and choose a weapon to fit your playing style.
Hiding the head does not mean that your enemy will not track you down!
Keep this in mind especially in stealth missions, keep a close eye on the level of detection above your enemies' heads (as in the photo above) and adjust your position relative to your enemies.
It is worth mentioning that if you fill the indicator only halfway, enemies sometimes tend to check who is there. A red indicator means the enemy is alerted and will inform other of your presence.
Be not afraid to throw grenades
Throwing grenades in this game requires some skill, but do not be afraid to throw them at your enemies - it will force them to relocate and you will be able to deal with them. Boxes with additional grenades or other types of grenades (e.g. flashbangs, smoke and incendiary) are spread around the maps. If you tend to search the locations then you will quickly encounter them. The picture above shows a crate of grenades.
There are choices in the game, but they do not have much influence on the gameplay
In Call of Duty Cold War in some missions you can make choices. Already during the first mission you can make a choice what to do with the captured suspect. Your decision will not directly affect the storyline - except for the Identity Crisis mission. All your decisions will be displayed in the form of a video at the end of the game - this way you will find out what fate met the enemies, whom, for example, you captured.
Important! In the Identity Crisis mission you can choose the ending!
Human shield
As in the picture above, at short range you can choose to use an enemy as a living shield (hold E by default) or kill with a knife (click E). Using the enemy as a living shield sometimes comes in handy when you can't jump quickly to the shields and hide. However, you cannot use one enemy indefinitely - once you catch him, his life bar will appear, so be alert when his health approaches zero.
