This section of the Call of Duty Cold War guide concerns the Desperate Measures mission. Desperate Measures is the sixth campaign mission. First, you will operate under cover so that you can launch an attack later on.
The mission consists of phases where you have to act as a double spy and also where you and Adler launch an attack on the KGB headquarters. In this mission you will also find quite important evidence for Operation Red Circus.

Turn off the cameras and get the key
You'll begin your mission in front of the computer. At some point, your phone will ring - select the option with a secure connection. What you do next doesn't really matter.
Note! If you have saved Richter in Brick in the Wall, you will also get the objective to eliminate him. You will then be called to attend a meeting with Gorbachev. The meeting takes place on the 1st floor - go there. At the meeting, you will be asked who is the mole in KGB - choose whichever answer you want. The next question will concern the key. The answer doesn't really matter here either. Whichever answer you choose, General Kharkov will get the key. After leaving, you will get a map of the headquarters with several routes to complete the objective.
But first, we need to turn off the cameras. Go downstairs, turn right and enter the camera room. Knock down the guard- if you don't have this option, go behind the bars for a moment, where you turn off the cameras, on the left side of the room. Then you should be able to take down the guard. Hide his body in a closet and turn off the cameras.
Now you have several paths to choose from. If you want to complete Operation Red Circus later on, you will have to find evidence.
No matter which method you choose, avoid detection and remember to hide the bodies. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting the key. The easiest way is through the data entry room. There is a high chance that the evidence will spawn exactly here. There's only 1 guard inside, so it'll be easy for you to get in. There are 2 doors leading to the room, one of which is guarded.
Enter through the unguarded door, then set yourself up to the next door so that you can easily open it with a lock pick. Eliminate the guard inside and hide him. Go to the next room, this time the smaller one. This is where you will find a computer needed for the main mission objective. After obtaining the key, head to the bunker.
Show the key to the guard and go inside. At some point, the game will ask you to use the radio - do it. Go to the door and meet Adler.
Steal data
As Bell, hide behind the crate first and then take down one of the guards (when they will be standing with their back to you). Put on his uniform. Follow Adler. Regardless of whether you want to go around or not, you'll still have to go through the metal detector.
Do what they say, put the bag in the designated place by the counter. You'll be rescued by a KGB double spy. Then head to the elevator with Adler.
One more person will enter the elevator and a strange conversation will ensue. Choose the following dialogue options: that this is your first day and the option related to Sobol (you will complete a challenge by doing so). If you want, you can also attack him without warning - it doesn't matter here.
Together with Adler, fight your way through the enemy hordes. Pay attention to the higher levels: the enemies will appear there as well. At some point, you will have to put gas in the ventilation system - do this and move forward with Adler.
Finish off anyone who gets in your way until you reach the bunker. Use the key. Before you use the computer inside, have a look around. You will find a few weapons, mines, etc. Place mines at the entrance and further in the room with columns, so that the enemies trigger them. Choose the weapon you want. Then use the computer and survive until the timer goes off. Hide behind the desk. If necessary, you can fight from different angles, close to the bunker door.
After that, follow Adler, kill everyone in your way. At some point, the lights will go out. You can surprise attack your enemies, using crouching and looking for their flashlights. Keep following Adler. It turns out that the double spy Belikov has been caught. Activate the gas. Adler will open the door for you, take down the enemies along the way and put a gas mask on Belikov.
Keep following Adler and cut through the enemy lines. You will meet two armored enemies by the elevator. The rule is the same as before: shoot them in the head until you finish them. If you still have mines, you can use them. In the middle of the elevator, on the left side, you will find heavy gear. Put it on. Once you reach the main floor, shoot anything that moves and head to the exit with the others.
When you get to the car, you'll encounter two more armored enemies, but you shouldn't have much trouble with them. Once you've dealt with them, get in the car. Turn around and shoot anything and anyone that tries to chase you.
