Excavation Site is the fictional location to which your mission to find the missing Ahmad ibn Musa will lead you. This guide page will help you find the hidden location outside the city.

While searching for a missing Hidden Ones member, scholar Ahmad ibn Musa, one of the steps will be to interpret the tips from one of the characters that are supposed to lead to a remote area called Excavation Site. Infiltrating the guard-ridden quarry will allow you to get the needed information, thus pushing the plot forward.
Unfortunately, finding the target location among the endless sands of the desert may cause some problems, especially if you haven't visited this area of the map yet. If you are stuck on this step, this page will help you find the sought location.
Where is Excavation Site?
To view the clues received from Hamid in House of Wisdom, open the menu and then choose "Investigation" tab. Next to the circle symbolizing the investigation on the missing Ahmad, click on the Excavation Site investigation in the upper right circle.
In the new menu, at the very bottom, at the Related Clues paragraph, you'll find a map icon. After clicking on it, you'll see a simplified map sketched by the frightened Hamid.
Although the drawing itself is rather primitive and does not reflect the scale of the actual area, it contains several landmarks by which you will be able to locate the Excavation Site. Pay attention primarily to the three threads of the great river flowing at the western edge of the map, the nearby oasis and the city walls.
By transferring the collected knowledge onto a real map, we can conclude that the Excavation Site is located southwest of the city, between the first and second river threads looking from the south. The above screenshots show the exact location of the sought location (we marked it with "1").
What is the easiest way into Excavation Site?
If you haven't ventured into the wilderness around Baghdad yet, the walk to the Excavation Site may prove to be rather tedious. Fortunately, you can speed up the journey by using a mount. Basim's faithful camel can be summoned by holding the whistle button.
Along the way to this story-related area, we recommend visiting the Oasis found north-east from the Excavation Site. In this small area, you'll find a rocky formation that serves as a viewpoint. Synchronizing with it will unlock a fast travel destination for wherever you might need to venture into the wilderness.
