If, when exploring Baghdad and the surrounding region, you manage to come across a piece of equipment that matches your preferences and gameplay style, it's a good idea to upgrade the aforementioned item to improve its parameters.

Where can I upgrade weapons and clothing?

To upgrade Basim's sword or dagger, it will be necessary to go to one of Baghdad's blacksmiths. These characters are marked on the map with the symbol of two crossed sabers. After talking to the NPC, you will be transferred to a dedicated equipment upgrade screen. Here you can select the piece of equipment you are interested in, see its properties, and view the available modifications and their price.

To upgrade your equipment, you will need a dedicated scheme for a particular item and the appropriate amount of materials. If you get the appropriate components, the game will let you upgrade the item. After selecting a given weapon, hold down the appropriate key, and after a short animation, your weapon will be strengthened.

Similarly, you can improve your clothes at the tailors. NPCs specializing in the field have been marked on the map with a needle icon. Like with weaponry, a clothing upgrade will require materials. Basim's clothes themselves do not have stats, but increasing their level enhances the effect of the perk specific to a given apparel.

All equipment elements have 3 levels (including the basic one), which means that during the game they can be upgraded 2 times.

Can you change the appearance of the equipment?

It is also worth mentioning that the blacksmith's services also include changing the appearance of a weapon. On the service screen, go to the appearance tab. For a small fee of 50 dirhams, you can replace the texture of your weapon with the skin of another weapon in your inventory. This operation is reversible.

A similar operation is impossible for clothing, but it can be personalized with the help of special dyes, which you will come across in chests, during quests, or at some traders. The dye can be applied to the outfit in the equipment menu.

How to obtain blueprints and components?
