Use the environment for hiding and eliminating enemies
AC Mirage goes back to the earliest installments of the series in terms of the gameplay. This means that the game is full of stealth sequences in which it will be crucial to keep your presence a secret from enemies. To make this task easier for players, the devs have placed numerous environmental elements in the game world that will make hiding easier. Tall vegetation, haystacks, numerous roofs, terraces and densely placed buildings allow you to plan paths so that Basim can remain elusive and unnoticed.
Also remember about the ability to eliminate opponents while hiding. A quick drop finished with a blow or an unexpected knockout in high grass will allow you to quickly pave a safe path forward. However, use this strategy only on isolated opponents. The sudden disappearance of a comrade or a body lying in plain sight can attract the attention of the surrounding enemies.
Isolate enemies during fights
If you are forced to fight a group of opponents, try to outmaneuver them so that you can focus only on one of them at a time. Fighting a group of enemies can quickly result in the protagonist's death, while singled out, individual enemies will be a much easier target.
Hide to lose the pursuit
When the situation becomes extremely tense, you can always save yourself by running away. Alerted guards will chase you, but you will be able to lose them by hiding, e.g. on the upper floors of buildings. When the pursuers lose sight of you, the enemies will go into alert mode and then abandon their attempts to capture you.
Also remember about that you can hide in the crowd, e.g. by sitting on a bench. Basim will try to blend into the civilians, which, with a bit of luck, will help him to lose the pursuers.
Eat the food to restore health
Food from stalls and wild fruits found on the streets of Baghdad will help you regain some of your lost health. Do not neglect this opportunity, as it will help Basim recover faster after a finished fight or a painful fall from a height.
Use the Eagle Vision and Enkidu
The Eagle Vision ability allows Basim to scan the area for important people, places, or elements of the environment. Marking enemies from a distance is especially useful when you want to find the right moment to sneak up or ambush. You can move freely while using the eagle vision, so use this mode from time to time and look around the area.
Using the eagle Enkidu, Basim's companion, is equally important. The perspective of your bird friend will allow you to look at the area from a great height.
Look around for collectibles
Baghdad and the surrounding areas are full of interesting things to find. At every step you will come across baskets, bags or chests to plunder. Look around the areas carefully to quickly fill your purse with Dirhams. Besides money, you will also be able to find useful reagents and materials.
From time to time, you will also come across rarer items, such as clothes or lore fragments that enrich the game universe.
Remember that you can reset skills
If during the game you decide that the build you have chosen does not meet your expectations, you can go to the character development screen and reset all unlocked skills to get all spent skill points.
Redistributing valuable points will allow you to better adapt Basim to your play style, and it may be helpful in performing more difficult missions.
Use pickpocketing
The pickpocketing mechanics present in the game allow Basim to rob random residents of Baghdad. Apart from Dirhams, which serve as currency in AC Mirage, citizens' pockets are full of various trinkets, treasures and mysterious coins called tokens. Tokens act as an alternative currency thanks to which you can use various services.
You can read more about pickpocketing on the How to steal page. If you want to learn more about tokens, check out the What are tokens used for? page.
