Although AC Mirage's world map has been significantly reduced compared to the last few installments of the series, the option to immediately mov to another part of Baghdad and the surrounding area may be useful during various missions. Fortunately, Ubisoft's latest game has been equipped with a fast travel mechanic.
However, using it is subject to certain conditions. This page of the guide will help you understand the intricacies of the system and make the best use of it.
What objects can you move to?
A characteristic element of the Assassin's Creed series are viewpoints scattered all over the map. AC Mirage follows the long tradition of the series and enables the players to take advantage of these soaring structures and natural hills.
You will recognize the viewpoints by a tall structure and the eagle icon shown on the map. A good way to search for new towers would be to use Enkidu, which will enable you to mark a point of interest on the map. Baghdad's synchronization objects usually take the form of tall towers with blue roofs or domes of the city's tallest buildings. There may also be natural, tall rock formations outside the urban areas.
After locating a viewpoint, you have to climb it. The task should not cause much trouble, however, sometimes it will be necessary to move to the other side of the tower to find a convenient, protruding part of the facade. At the top, you will find an appropriate protruding point, where you can synchronize with the surrounding area after pressing the appropriate key. Synchronization will reveal a large section of the map and the points of interest available on it.
After synchronization, you can quickly get to the bottom by performing a leap of faith, and the viewpoint will be added as a quick travel destination (the icon on the map will be enriched with a tiny orange dot).
In the end, it is worth mentioning that apart from the towers, you will also be able to teleport to the previously visited Bureaus. The option will prove particularly useful when submitting mission reports.
How to use fast travel?
To use fast travel, go to the menu and activate the map in the "World" tab. Select the unlocked location of your choice with the cursor and hold down the appropriate key. After the loading screen, you will find yourself in the new location. Recall that you cannot use the fast travel option during combat, while being in a restricted location, or falling.
