How to unlock more buildings and social classes in Anno 1800? Anno 1800 Guide and Tips
Last update: 07 March 2023
At the beginning of your adventure in Anno 1800, you will be left with only a handful of buildings. Additionally, your island can only be inhabited by farmers - a social class that focuses on growing crops, fishing and working in other basic facilities. What do you need to do to be able to unlock new buildings and prepare houses for other social classes?
The answer to this question is rather simple - you need to construct more buildings and increase the population of your rapidly growing society. More "milestones", such as the number of inhabitants: 500 will unlock access to new, more advanced facilities. Do not worry that you begin the game modestly - construct available buildings and a lot of residential huts for farmers and in a short time you will unlock access to a large amount of new buildings.
When it comes to new social classes, the matter here is more complex. Each of the social classes has specific requirements that must be met. Workers, for instance, will require sausages, soaps and access to schools. Click on the homes of the residents to check their needs. Once all of the requirements are met, you can improve the building - all of its residents will automatically jump to a higher class and become, for instance, craftsmen. A new group of residents also unlocks access to new building options.
