Anno 1800: How to buy ships from others?

You should always have a powerful armada that would be able to defeat attackers or allow you to send a few ships on an expedition.
Production of a new ship takes time, costs a lot and, sometimes, may not be profitable. If you have a lot of gold, it would be better to buy new ships. To do that, move the camera on the islands belonging to other players. Usually, our allies or friends have a few ships on sale. Click on a ship marked with a $ icon to purchase it.
Sadly, you can't negotiate to get a better price - some ships cost a fortune. However, this is still a good idea if you have a lot of gold. Remember, their maintenance costs, too!
