Last update: 18 June 2019
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild you can fin dan elaborate stealth system. With it, you can avoid fighting with opponents. This chapter includes the tips on the stealth mode.
After you crouch and move around, Link will sneak. You can use it in many ways.
First of all, sneaking is a great way to avoid enemies - you don't have to fight all your opponents. Sometimes, it is much better to avoid a larger group of enemies than face them directly. Secondly, sneaking up allows you to use the stealth factor - when you sneak up on your enemies from behind and attack, you deliver twice as much damage! It's especially useful when attacking enemy camps. One should sneak up on single enemies and take them out, especially that enemies that are not alarmed usually don't have weapons. When sneaking up on enemies, one should remember about the following things:
- In the bottom right corner, on the left side of the map there is an indicator which shows how loud you are - the less noise you make the better. Thus, try not to run, jump and don't alarm your enemies;
- You can improve your stealth skills by drinking potions, eating food or wearing special armor;
- Enemies have three levels of awareness: neutral - they act as there was no danger, alarmed - if they hear any suspicious noise they will search the area ("?" will appear above their heads), and ready to fight - they spot Link and will engage in combat ("!" will appear above their heads).
Remember! It's worth to purchase the Sheikah Set, available in Kakariko Village. Once you put it on, your opponents will barely hear your steps. It will allow you to sneak up on your enemies with less effort. You will also move faster during the night!
