Tips and hints

  1. Waystalker is a versatile character and one of the more interesting aspects of this class is the ability to eliminate large groups of enemies by using melee weapons and killing special and elite opponents with a ranged weapon. Choose a Glaive for melee combat - this weapon has a good attack angle which will allow you to damage a few enemies with one swing. As for ranged combat, you should pick up a a longbow - thanks to this weapon you will be able to kill the most powerful foes.
  2. Waystalker's base amount of health isn't high so remember to use dodges - they work well with a weapon with wide attack angle. You will be able to attack a horde from different directions.

Suggested Waystalker build

The build below makes the Waystalker deal more damage (ranged and direct combat) and additionally helps your teammates with the career skill.

  1. Morai-Heg's Scorn (level 5) - improved chances for critical damage.
  2. Arcane Bodkins (level 10) - increased headshot damage. Remember to aim well.
  3. Vaul's Quiver (level 15) - makes sure you never run short on ammo, which makes continuous firing much more convenient and effective.
  4. Khaine's Thirst (level 20) - standard talent improving HP after a kill.
  5. Kurnous' Blessing (level 25) - replenishes ammo after using Trueshot Volley.

Handmaiden

The Handmaiden is a class available from the 7th level of the character. She is very fast and agile, and can cope with large groups of enemies (especially, when you're using the spear).

Tips and hints

  1. Handmaiden is another tank - a type of a class that has a lot of health points and can focus enemies' attention. She isn't as resistant as Ironbreaker or Foot Knight but she is more mobile and her dodges cover greater distance. The best weapon for melee encounters is a Glaive.
  2. Dash is great for saving your allies and killing hordes that have surrounded them. This skill pushes enemies backwards and inflicts bleed which kills lesser enemies.
  3. Besides being a tank, Handmaiden can also support her party. Her passive skill called Renewal regenerates health - both yours and allies who are near you.
  4. Combining Dash with Ariel's Benson is a great method for saving fallen allies. Dash allows you to reach them fast; Ariel's Benson makes revival uninterruptable.

Suggested Handmaiden build

The build featured below makes the Handmaiden a universal character able to cope with large groups of enemies - especially, when you're using a weapon with a good range.

  1. Wraithwillow stance (level 5) - increases the block and push range. This is useful for pushing off big groups of enemies.
  2. Eldrazor's Precision (level 10) - increase the Power at the expense of attack speed. This build focuses on moderately fast weapons with a wide range (such as the spear), so Power is more important than speed.
  3. Hukon's Tenacity (level 15) - improves endurance regeneration speed. Endurance is needed for blocking and pushing enemies.
  4. Khaine's Thirst (level 20) - standard talent temporarily increases HP after killing an enemy.
  5. Handmaiden's Grace (level 25) - decreases the cooldown time of career skills.

Shade

Shade is available from level 12. It's characterized by very high damage output, sometimes allowing the Shade to kill enemies with a single hit. Low health compels the character to be constantly on the move and flank the enemies.

Base health: 100 points

Tips and hints

  1. Shade's passive skill allows you to kill human-sized enemies with one backstab - use it as often as possible. However, you have to be cautious - sometimes it is better to attack enemies in the usual way. Better wait for the right moment than die.
  2. Shade's career ability helps her to get a good position on a battlefield. However, you have to be careful to not lose it in the middle of a horde. You can use the following tactic - search for difficult enemies on flanks, not in the middle of a horde.
  3. Dual daggers or dual swords are a good choice - both weapons deal a lot of damage in a short period of time.

Suggested Shade build

The build below focuses on dealing as much damage as possible. Navigate the battlefield skillfully and try avoiding backstabs and other attacks on your character.

  1. Fury of Anath Raema (level 5) - increased attack speed allows more damage in less time0
  2. Hekarti's Bounty (level 10) - great talent that increases power by 15% if the team carries at least one grimoire. If you don't want to collect grimoires, choose a talent Gladerunner.
  3. Erath Khial's Herald (level 15) - improves a passive ability. In short, even more damage.
  4. Weavebound (level 20) - standard talent to temporarily improve health after a kill.
  5. Shadespirit (level 25) - shortens the time to renew your career skills, allowing you to approach any opponent and attack them in the back with ease.
