Tips and hints

  1. Although this class uses a ranged weapon majority of the time, a melee weapon will also be useful. A one-handed warhammer is a good choice - it offers pretty good endurance (represented by the shield icons during blocking) and high attack speed.
  2. Ranger Veteran's passive and career abilities make him a great special and elite killer. His passive ability gives him ammo while the career ability allows him to disappear for a moment in order to take a better spot. Search for the aforementioned enemies, eliminate them and collect ammo.

Suggested Ranger Veteran build

The set below is designed for Ranger Veteran fighting mainly with ranged weapons. Apart from that, it also makes for good support for the team - killing special enemies drops ammo or (after buying the right talent) potions.

  1. Hunter's Eye (level 5) - increases ranged accuracy.
  2. No Dawdling! (level 10) - improves movement speed, which promotes maneuverability.
  3. Master Brewer (level 15) - this talent gives a chance of killed enemies dropping potions, which is useful for everyone.
  4. Grudge-Borne (level 20) - increases HP after killing an enemy.
  5. Preparation (level 25) - lets you use Disengage more often.

Ironbreaker

Ironbreaker is available at level 7. This is another tank class - a lot of stamina and resistance to damage make him a great for focusing enemy attention.

Tips and hints

  1. Ironbreaker can access two unique weapons - Drakefire Pistols and a Drakegun. These are powerful ranged weapons that are definitely worth picking up. Both of them have overheat mechanism (similar to Sienna's) - an overheated weapon can't be used for a limited period of time. Drakegun allows you to kill groups of enemies fast but its range is very short. Drakefire Pistols work at medium distance but they aren't as useful against hordes.
  2. Ironbreaker's base amount of health and abilities make him a great tank who can focus enemy attention. The single-handed warhammer combines the endurance needed for effective parrying with high speed of attack - this makes it a great choice for the Ironbreaker.
  3. Remember that your career ability focuses attention of nearby enemies - use this to your advantage by activating this ability when a horde is coming towards your party (your allies won't be attacked as much).

Suggested Ironbreaker build

The set below allows you to make a typical tank out of the Ironbreaker, who will focus on him most enemies.

  1. Stoutfellow (level 5) - additional health is mandatory.
  2. Miner's Rhythm (level 10) - makes your endurance regenerate faster after being pushed by a boss; as a tank you risk that constantly.
  3. Tunnel Fighter (level 15) - allows to use the Gromril Armour more often, which translates into better defense.
  4. Grudge-Borne (level 20) - standard talent temporarily increasing HP after a kill.
  5. Oi! Wazzok! (level 25) - makes the Impenetrable ability distract the attention of bosses. The boss attacks mostly yourself, while the enemies can deal the most damage to them.

Slayer

Slayer is available at level 12. An agile warrior who focuses on dealing massive damage with his melee weapons.

Base health: 100 points

Slayer's abilities

Ability's name

Description

Trophy Hunter (passive ability)

Stacking damage buff on hitting an enemy.

Leap (career ability)

Bardin leaps towards his target and stuns them. This ability also increases Bardin's attack speed for a brief moment.

Path of Carnage (passive ability)

Increased attack speed.

Slayer's talents

Talents available at level 5:

Talent's name

Description

Stoutfellow

Increases maximum health by 25%.

Hack and Slash

Critical hit chance is increased by 5%.

See it Coming

Increases dodge range by 20%.

Talents available at level 10:

Talent's name

Description

Oblivious to Pain

Damage received from one attack is reduced to 10 damage points (or a half of its original value, whichever is highest).

Stunty Saviour

Increases movement speed by 15% if Bardin is the last hero standing.

Crippling Wounds

Critical hits cause more damage.

Talents available at level 15:

Talent's name

Description

Unstoppable!

Duration of Trophy Hunter is increased by 5 seconds.

Moving Target

Trophy Hunter can now also increase Bardin's armor.

Adrenaline Surge

After reaching maximum stacks for Trophy Hunter, this ability will also reduce Leap's cooldown.

Talents available at level 20:

Talent's name

Description

Just Drunk Enough

Critical hits increase your health temporarily.

Grudge-Borne

Killing enemies increases your health temporarily.

Grimnir's Champion

Killing a boss regenerates health.

Talents available at level 25:

Talent's name

Description

Crunch!

Increases the stagger effect after using Leap and landing near enemies.

Unstoppable

Bardin's attacks can't be interrupted after using Leap.

No Escape

After using Leap, Bardin's movement speed is increased by 25%.

Tips and hints

  1. Slayer is another great class for eliminating special and elite enemies - this time, from a close range. The Slayer deals huge amount of damage but due to the fact that he uses melee attacks, you will have to be vigilant and move between enemies.
  2. His career ability allows him to quickly leap towards an enemy and overwhelm them with attacks. However, you have to use this ability wisely - you don't want to jump right in the middle of a horde because this can quickly lead to your death. It is better to find a more powerful enemy and use this ability on him.
  3. Slayer needs a cooperating party to utilize his full potential. You need a tank who can guard you and you have to be accompanied by heroes who can deal with groups of enemies. Thanks to that you will be able to focus on special and elite enemies. The same goes for boss fights - attack a boss when he gets distracted by a tank.

Suggested Assassin build

The below build allows you to get the best out of the Assassin - high damage output. The build (as the class itself) compels you to constantly move, but allows you to quickly get rid of enemies.

  1. Hack and Slash (level 5) - increased chances for critical are necessary.
  2. Crippling Wounds (level 10) - this talent is linked to the previous one - more critical damage.
  3. Unstoppable! (level 15) - more additional damage. The talent extends the bonuses from the passive skill.
  4. Just Drunk Enough (level 20) - increase HP after critical hits.
  5. No Escape (level 25) - improved speed after using the Leap. Improved mobility.
