Whether you're playing with real players or bots, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 consists in cooperation and support from and for your allies.

Allies must be constantly supported - not only when they've fallen on the ground of battlefield.

Often you'll encounter a situation where a member of the group falls on the ground - then you'll see a message next to his portrait and his character will be marked red (he'll be easier to find somewhere in the opponent's horde). If you have the opportunity, run to his aid as soon as possible and press the "Use" button (on a PC, by default, it is "E" key). Your Hero will start to help him - you can't do any other actions at this point, but it's good to know that rescuing an ally automatically triggers blocking mode. As long as your enemies don't damage the stamina of your weapon, you don't have to worry about any damage.

However, it is better not to lead to this situation. Continuously support your allies - help them when they are surrounded or heal them when they have small amount of health. With the help of medical instruments you can directly treat the members of the group, and healing potions can be handed over to the ally's equipment.
