Mission 4.2: Vertigo Spire - Tower Bar Rainbow Six Vegas Guide

This mission will require you to cooperate with the rest of your squad. You will have to secure a large number of large rooms. You will also try and save one of the hostages. After that, you're going to disable a bomb that's being guarded by the terrorists. Make sure that your teammates are using cover, especially if you're up against larger groups of enemy soldiers.

Once again, we'll start off on the roof. I wouldn't recommend using any rappel hooks. Instead, head on to your left. You should be able to find a small entrance here. Open the door and use the ropes to slide down to the lower level (#1). Wait for the rest of the squad to get here. Start moving towards a nearby door (#2). Also, make sure that your colleagues are following you.

You will have to use your camera here. Sadly, you won't be able to save the hostage. Instead, tag both enemy soldiers (#1). Order your men to prepare for an assault. Once you're ready, give a correct order (#2). You won't have to use any explosive charges here. You shouldn't have any problems with the terrorists. Head on to the left door.

You will have to use the camera once again (#1). Tag two enemy soldiers and order your men to prepare for an assault here. Head on to a second door that should be located on your right. You shouldn't have any problems finding it. Proceed with the assault. Open the door and help your teammates to deal with this problem (#2). Try taking out a terrorist that was standing in front of you.

Open a nearby door and head on to a small corridor. Be careful, though. More enemy soldiers are standing just around the corner (#1). It would be wise to take them out from here, so none of them manages to surprise your team. Once you've dealt with the first group, get closer to the entrance (#2) and take out all of the remaining hostiles. Order your men to enter the room. Be careful! Some of the terrorists may be hiding behind the counter.

You are getting closer to a much larger room. That's where the VIP is being held. Use your tactical view in order to familiarize yourself with the surroundings (#1). I would recommend sending your team to a nearest door. It should be located in front of you. Activate the camera and tag two targets. I would recommend tagging a terrorist who's guarding the hostage (#2). The second bandit will be standing on your left.

Head on to the left room. Thankfully, this area won't be guarded, so you should be able to reach a new door without any problems (#1). Position yourself correctly, so you'll be able to save the hostage. Proceed with the assault and take out the terrorist (#2). Once he's dead, deal with the remaining threats. You shouldn't have any major problems securing this room.

Go ahead and proceed to a large balcony. Listen to what the rescued VAP will have to stay (#1). You're going to find out about a bomb. You will have to neutralize it. After that, a second bomb will explode, destroying a roof area of a nearby building (#2). You will have to wait for some new orders to appear on your screen. Gather the rest of the squad around your position. Thankfully, you won't have to escort the VIP. He will find his way down without your help.

You will have to start moving towards a room that should be located to the left of the balcony. Thankfully, this area is quite safe (#1), so you won't have to use any cameras or hide behind covers. You should be getting closer to a much more populated area. I wouldn't recommend separating your team. Order your men to make a stop near the right door (#2). This door leads to a much larger room. Make sure that you have a reloaded weapon. You could also consider choosing frag grenades from your inventory window.

Open the door and make a few steps forward. You will have to take out a small group of enemy soldiers. The terrorists will appear on your right (#1). I would recommend leaving the rest of the squad right here. Go back to the previous corridor and head on to the left door. Use the Snake Cam. As you've probably noticed, some of the terrorists are hiding on the right balcony (#2).

Open the door and try to take out the terrorists from here (#1). You should be hiding by the left wall. Meanwhile the rest of the team may proceed to the central part of this room. You won't have to worry about the snipers anymore. Proceed to the next section. There are more terrorists in this area. You will have to start shooting at them (#2). Make sure that you're using slot machines and other large objects for cover.

Keep moving towards your current destination. You won't have any major problems with most of the terrorists (#1). Just make sure that you're using larger covers. You will also have to avoid several flashbang grenades. You will have to secure this entire area. Once this is done, order your teammates to head on towards a small corridor (#2). There are a few additional units here for you to take care of.

Keep going straight. You won't encounter any additional terrorists here, so you won't have to hide behind walls and other large objects. Proceed to the next room (#1). This area won't be guarded by anyone. Head on to the second door and use your Snake Cam (#2). There are two terrorists here. Tag them for your team. Be careful, though. A third terrorist is patrolling a nearby staircase.

Proceed with the assault. As a result, you should be able to take out both terrorists without any problems. Turn right and aim at the stairs. You will have to eliminate a third terrorist (#1). Once he's gone, start moving towards a lower level. Once you're there, immediately turn right in order to be able to take out a single opponent (#2). It's very important that you kill him quickly. Gather the rest of the team around your position.

Use the stairs to get down to the lowest level. Be careful, though. This area is being patrolled by two enemy soldiers. If you're lucky, you should be able to surprise them (#1), without having to hide behind larger obstacles. Once they're gone, head on to the nearest door. Order your men to prepare for an assault. Activate the Snake Cam. As you've probably noticed, there's a bomb here and it's being guarded by a large number of hostile units. I would recommend tagging two terrorists (#2). They are hiding behind the pillars, so you won't notice them at first glance.

We'll attack this room simultaneously from two different directions. Leave your team here and head on to the left door. Once you're there, proceed with the assault. Open the door and help your men to take out tagged terrorists (#1). Be careful! One of the enemy soldiers will be standing on your left (#2). Make sure that he dies quickly. After that, take out the remaining terrorists. Some of them will be hiding near a bar. There's also a single unit on the upper balcony. You will have to secure this entire room.

Target the bomb and order one of your teammates to disable this device (#1). It will take a few seconds. Thankfully, you won't have to do anything else. Wait for some new objectives to appear on your screen. Your last task of this chapter will be to reach an extraction zone. Start off by going back to the staircase area (#2). You shouldn't be in a lot of hurry. Also, make sure that the rest of the team is following your lead.

Use the stairs to go back to the highest level. Be careful, though. A single terrorist will appear near the right door (#1). Take him out quickly. You shouldn't have any problems with that, especially if you know he's coming. Enter this new room. You will come across a much larger staircase (#2). Thankfully, there aren't any soldiers here, so start moving towards the roof of this building.

You should be able to reach the roof area (#1). Open the door. There aren't any hostile units here, so you won't have to use covers. Use the ropes to slide down to a new part of the roof. You will have to wait for an allied gunship to arrive here. Wait for the helicopter to land (#2) and take a seat inside. Listen to what a familiar woman (she's the leader of the terrorist organization) has to say. After that, this entire chapter will come to an end.
