Mission 2.3: Calypso Casino - Prime Time Rainbow Six Vegas Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
This is going to be a much more difficult level, mostly because some of the rooms are going to be fairly small. As a result, you will have some hard time finding good covers and taking out terrorists. It's going to be very easy to die here, so you'll have to plan each move very carefully.
You start off inside a small room (#1). Go ahead and make a few steps forward. Once you've reached a small door, use your camera (#2). You should notice at least one terrorist. He's going to be standing in front of you. Open the door (you won't have to use an assault feature here) and take him out. I would recommend aiming at his head. Order your men to hide behind one of the nearby covers. Most of these objects will be located on your left.
More enemy soldiers should appear in the exact same spot (#1). I would recommend taking them out from a distance. You should have a gun with a scope at your disposal. Aim at their heads. Once this is done, head on with the rest of the squad to your right. As you've probably noticed, some of the terrorists will slide down on the ropes (#2). I would recommend KILLING them BEFORE they manage to touch the ground. Thankfully, you will have plenty of objects that can be used for cover.
There's a very frustrating climb ahead of you. The objective will be to reach the highest floor of the complex. Sadly, each floor is going to be guarded by at least a few terrorists. You will have to use various objects for cover. Take your time and try to eliminate all enemy soldiers before moving on to the next section of the compound. The first group will appear near the stairs (#1). Kill them and head on to the first floor. You should be able to take out a single sniper from here (#2). Aim at his head!
Most of the enemy soldiers will appear near the main staircase (#1). I wouldn't recommend going there right away. You will have to secure this balcony in the first place. Kill all visible terrorists. Some of them may be hiding, so it would be best to take a look at the tactical map. Don't forget about the snipers (#2). You will have to take care of them as soon as possible.
Keep heading towards upper floors. You will come across at least 2-3 terrorists along the way. You should be getting closer to the highest floor (#1). Sadly, you won't be able to proceed to the hostage area just yet. Instead, you will have to locate a small door that should be located on your left (#2). Make sure that the rest of the squad is following your lead.
You will have to enter this new room. Locate a new staircase that should be located on your right (#1). Proceed to the highest floor. Thankfully, you shouldn't encounter any new terrorists here. Once you're there, turn left and keep moving towards your main destination. Make sure that you check your map. You should be able to reach a large entrance very soon (#2).
I wouldn't recommend splitting your team. Head on to the left corridor and enter a new room. It's going to be a dressing area (#1). Check the equipment crate if you need to. Head on to a second door. Don't open it, because there are hostages on the other side. Instead, use the Snake Cam (#2). I would recommend tagging two terrorists (#2). Some of them should be standing near the hostages. Make sure that they will be taken out in the first place.
Once you're ready, proceed with the main assault. You shouldn't have any problems killing the terrorists and saving the hostages (#1). Thankfully, you won't have to escort any of the civilians. Secure this entire room. This isn't over yet. Gather the rest of the team around your position and head on to a new corridor (#2). The objective will be to kill all of the remaining terrorists.
A single opponent should be hiding on your left. It's the Aquatunnel (#1). Killing him will result in finishing this mission. You will have to wait for the game to load the last map of this chapter.
