One of the multiplayer modes in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, in which the attackers are tasked with getting the hostage held by the defenders in a room. The attackers must face the time that is running out and watch for the health of the hostage. An operator that reaches the hostage and tries to get him out can only use the basic pistol. The round ends when the time runs out and the hostage remains in the hands of the defenders; when the hostage is delivered to the rescue point; when one of the teams is completely eliminated; when the hostage is killed.

Shot cautiously when near the hostage!

While taking back the hostage, you must shoot very carefully so that you don't wound the target. A mistake might cost you losing the whole round. It is especially important in the multiplayer mode where the defenders might deliberately wound the hostage so that even the smallest hit might kill him or her.

Watch out where you're throwing the grenades!

You must be also very careful when using frag grenades that can kill the hostage. The best choice is to simply not use them near the target or to select a different weapon for the mission.

Hostage escort

During the escort, the Operator can only use secondary weapon - a pistol. In such situations, you should ask your allies for cover.

The last defender

If your team is eliminated and you're alone, you must remain close to the hostage so that the enemies won't get him or her back. If you hide in the other corner of the map, the attackers will simply take the hostage and easily get him or her out.

Barbed wires and traps

An interesting defense choice is to use operators with barbed wires and traps that can be placed around the hostage. This will slow down the potential heroes and make it harder for them to get the hostage out.
