System Requirements The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Guide

Blood and Wine has the same hardware requirements as the basic version of The Witcher 3.The PC version we have tested ensured a very smooth gameplay for most of the time, also during the free exploration of Beauclair and other large locations. Slight slowdowns occurred during cut-scenes featuring large numbers of NPCs and some very dynamic moments in combat. It should be noted that disabling the NVIDIA HairWorks technology (responsible for the animation of body hair) can significantly improve the overall performance.

Blood and Wine requires the base game to be updated to version 1.20 or higher. In addition to numerous improvements this version also offers a refreshed user interface. During your first contact with this version it would be good to take some time to familiarize yourself with the new interface, as many things have been modified, for example, the item organization in Geralt's inventory.

The hardware configuration as listed above enabled the game to run for most of the time at locked 60 frames per second at a resolution of 1920x1200 and on high graphic settings. You can also play on ultra settings, although the number of FPS can visibly fluctuate depending on activity or the character of the explored locations.
