Road to Arberrang | Chapter 14 The Banner Saga 2 Guide
Last update: 01 February 2017
Key moments during the journey
Still before you set out from Fiskivik, you will have to talk to Rugga, who brought the rest of the men with him. This way, you receive 200 clansmen and 30 Varls who have been traveling with Rugga. For consolidating your alliance with him, you receive 115 warriors, 231 clansmen and 71 Varls.
After you leave Fiskivik, you run into a dead elk. It turns out that it is an ambush, of a kind, prepared by Dredges, so you will have to enter a battle. What makes this one more difficult than the previous ones is that you will have to fight it alone. Fortunately, there only are two weak opponents. After the battle, you receive 8 renown points and you will have to take another decision.
- "That's enough! Leave them" - As a result of this option, you let the Dredge live. For this, you will be rewarded with 5 supplies.
- "Let's see if there are any more of these slags to kill" - This option opens another window with dialogue options. The first option, "They're threat to us all. Kill them" is followed by a battle with a group of Dredges. After you win it, you receive 17 renown points. As a result of the second option, "Charge them but let them escape", you receive 15 supplies. The third option results in the same as the first one.
After your caravan reaches the bridge, you will have to fight against the Horseborn. This may cause you some problems, because of the limited room for maneuvering. Therefore, keep in mind that you will have to queue giants up, if you use them. Regardless of your tactic, though, focus your attacks on one opponent - Canary. For winning the battle, you receive around 14 renown points and you will have to talk to their leader. Canary herself joins your caravan after this conversation.
Still before you enter Arberrang, you will have to take a decision on the caravan.
- "We stay together until we're all behind Arberrang's walls" - As a result of the first option, you receive 20 renown points.
- "Bring them here. Bring the Adakan and the others to us" - Choosing the second option results in your receiving 10 renown points and 141 clansmen, 22 warriors, and 8 Varls for your caravan. This will also slightly improve morale of the caravan.
- "Say nothing. Letting them choose" - As a result of this option, 112 clansmen and 13 warriors will leave the caravan and you also lose 23 supplies.
- "If you leave us, you're banished" - As a result of this one, 63 clansmen and 22 warriors will leave the caravan. It also brings down morale of the caravan.
Additional events
After you leave Fiskivik, you May fitness another event. It is up to you what to do.
- "Break out the mead and celebrate" - You halt the entire caravan for one day of celebrations. This improves morale of the party.
- "Make a toast for a Varl" - You raise a toast to honor one of the Varls. This way, you improve morale of the entire caravan and you receive 10 renown points.
- "Congratulations Skari, but we should get moving" - As a result of the last option, morale goes down.
Along your way to Arberrang, you will run into a situation that does not concern the caravan that much.
- "Let the caravan drink their fill" - As a result of the first option, morale slightly goes down.
- "Step forward and drink first" - As a result of the second option you receive 15 renown points, and morale of the caravan goes up.
- "Fill a few barrels. We boil it first" - As a result of the third option, the entire caravan comes to a halt for the majority of the day to boil water. Excluding the forced stop, there are no consequences to this choice.
- "Get away from it. We'll have water in Arberrang" - As a result of this option, 51 clansmen and 15 warriors will leave the caravan. Morale of the entire caravan goes down.
