Rest in Peace | The Sinking City walkthrough The Sinking City guide, walkthrough
Last update: 08 July 2019
Case called Rest in Peace begins at the St. Botolph's Cemetery - west part of the map (Reed Heights district near Wayne Road). This is one of the additional tasks in The Sinking City. You can take the side investigation at any time during the game.
You have to find a man on the island on the pier (in the northeastern part of the island) who will ask you for help. Travel to the cemetery and go in the direction of the marker. Near the grave, you'll find a man's body lying on the road.
Inspect them (at this point monsters will attack you). Activate the Mind's Eye and follow the direction of spirits until you reach the next grave. Re-examine the grave, tombstone and coffin - pay attention to claw marks on the coffin's top based on the wall.
Continue to the part of the cemetery between the marker and the pier where the client stands.
- take a note from the cart,
- explore the opened coffin,
- explore the tombstone.
Go to the third open grave next to your quest' commissioner. There, you will find blood, grave and the note to examine.
After the investigation in the cemetery is completed, go to the Town Hall to access the archives. Here, select the following search options:
- Evidence: Plundered Grave [don't mistake it with other similar evidence],
- Subjects: Citizens,
- Period: 19th century,
- Registry: Citizen records.
Your destination is Virginia Cooper's house, located in the Salvation Harbor, near the city center. You'll find it on Maple Lane, between Polaris and the Old Church Road. The house is located in the Infected Zone. Go to the second floor to explore:
- suicide note,
- bottle,
- woman's corpse.
Go to the library and select the following options:
- Evidence: A Book Page,
- Section: Restricted section,
- Period: 17th-19th century,
- Region: European.
The last location you will visit is Coverside. It is located on Providence Avenue, between St. Elmo and Victory Lane. In the building, go upstairs with two gun-armed opponents. Then examine the victim's body, the bodies covered with the sheet and the dirty letters.
Afterwards, return to your client at the cemetery. He will provide you with rifle cartridges and a Man of Science costume.
