On this page, you will find a trophy guide to The Sinking City. We described all achievements available in the game. Here, you will learn what the requirements are and what actions must be performed in order to unlock them. There are 29 trophies that can be unlocked in the game - 1 platinum trophy (only on PS4), 6 gold trophies, 8 silver trophies, and 14 bronze trophies.

Trophy type: platinum
How to unlock: Complete every challenge the city of Oakmont has to offer.
Commentary: Collect all other trophies. The platinum trophy can be unlocked only on PlayStation 4.
Tempting Fate
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Have your fortune read.
Commentary: The fortune reader can be encountered at the beginning of the game, while investigating the port in Grimhaven Bay district. The investigation will lead Reed to the "Under the Keel" bar. The fortune reader can be found on the ground floor of the location.
During the conversation, you must confirm that you want your fortune red and you must pay her with a single bullet. If you don't have ammunition, try crafting the bullet.
Hook, Line, and Sinker
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Solve your first case in Oakmont.
Commentary: The first investigation in the game is Frosty Welcome. You will receive this achievement no matter how you complete the case - you can tell Throgmort the truth or you can lie.
Deep Breath
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Go below the surface for the first time.
Commentary: You can explore the depths for the first time during the second main case - Lost At Sea. Reed will find a suit in this mission, and he will get to the place where it is necessary to dive.
The Pleasure of Finding Things Out
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Use the intelligence archives in your investigation.
Commentary: Interact with one of the archives. You have to do that to unlock new evidence and complete the cases. You can't miss this trophy/achievement.
Reanimator
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Satisfy curiosity.
Comment: This achievement we described in more detail on a separate page of the trophy tutorial.
Brutal Honesty
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Betray the warehouse guard's trust.
Commentary: For more information, check the page dedicated to this trophy/achievement.
Compliments to the Chef
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Help the professor with his plan.
Commentary: This trophy/achievement is related to Quid Pro Quo main case. During this case, you will reach George Cavendish's apartment. When the man arrives, choose the option to cooperate - help him poison the remaining fish. Check the walkthrough for that case to learn all the steps (variant 1 in the final part of that case).
Use Protection
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Challenge the horror of the Redemption Church.
Commentary: You deal with nightmares during Fathers and Sons main case. During it, you visit the Redemption Church. Nightmares appear after you reach the altar, use the Mind's Eye and make the symbols overlap.
They don't disappear like the regular hallucinations. Use any weapon (for example, a shotgun) to defeat themi.
Sic Semper Tyrannis
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Dethrone the patriarch.
Commentary: This trophy/achievement relates to the main decision made at the end of Fathers and Sons case. After returning from the depths, you have to help Graham or Brutus. This trophy/achievement requires you to cooperate with Graham and murder his father, Brutus. We discussed this in more detail in our walkthrough (option 1).
Sic Semper Tyranis and Et Tu, Brutus? trophies/achievements are mutually exclusive. It is best to create a manual save after you return from the cultists' cave. This way, you can get both trophies/achievements in the same playthrough.
Et Tu, Brutus?
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Punish the upstart.
Commentary: This trophy/achievement relates to the main decision made at the end of Fathers and Sons case. After returning from the depths, you have to help Graham or Brutus. For this trophy/achievement, you have to team up with Brutus and tell him that Graham planned to kill him. We discussed this in more detail in our walkthrough (option 2).
Sic Semper Tyranis and Et Tu, Brutus? trophies/achievements are mutually exclusive. It is best to create a manual save after you return from the cultists' cave. This way, you can get both trophies/achievements in the same playthrough.
It's a Kind of Magic
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Ask the Imperial Wizard to show you a magic trick.
Commentary: A simple trophy/achievement, though it is easy to miss. The opportunity to get it appears during Nosedive main case. As part of this mission, you will visit The Orion Club. You need to get to the upper floor, where the Imperial Wizard is.
During the conversation with the Imperial Wizard, select the dialogue options in which Reed will ask the man to perform a magic trick (the first out of these two dialogue options is presented in the picture).

Not Too Deep for Me
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Study all the frescoes in the Temple of Dagon.
What Could Go Wrong?
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Have a ritual conducted on you.
Commentary: You can earn the trophy during the main Case called Deal with the Devil. It requires reaching the Blackwood Marsh Cannery, where Ebernote Blackwood appears after finding the Seal.
During the conversation with Blackwood, you must choose to agree to participate in the ritual - this is a dialog option Might be my last chance. I'm in.
Go back to the basement of the factory and lay down on the altar. The game will show a cut-scene with the unsuccessful ritual.
Crime, No Punishment
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Kill the old lady.
Commentary: You can obtain this trophy during the main Case Self Defense. Reed meets the mayor candidate, Milton Pierce. He offers a gambit - kill his mother, Agatha Pierce with poison, in exchange for acquitting Reed.
You need to reach Manor of Agatha Pierce and offer a conversation with a glass of wine. Obviously enough, you shouldn't warn her she's going to get poisoned.
The next step is to get the monsters out of the cellar and find a bottle of wine that Reed can the put poison in. When you get back upstairs, just let the old lady drink the wine and she will kick the bucket in no time.

Double Tap
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Finally commit the crime you were accused of.
Commentary: This trophy requires strictly defined actions and can be obtained at the very end of the main Case called Self Defense. After returning to Devil's Reef Hotel the protagonist goes to meet Johannes van der Berg, who was, however, murdered in the theatre. After the conversation with van der Berg, you have to shoot him. Use any gun. Do this before you leave your hotel room and take care of the next main Case.
The End Justifies the Means
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Kill the priestess.
Commentary: Priestess Usha appears during Fleeing Phoenix main case. You can kill her after you reach Usha's cave. More about this in the walkthrough for this case - this is option 1, although you can also choose option 3 and unlock Dodge This trophy/achievement.
Still Salty
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Kill the archeologist.
Comment: Archaeologist Joseph Hill appears in Fleeing Phoenix main case. You can meet him at the Residence of Joseph Hill. This trophy/achievement requires you to fulfill Usha's wish by killing Hill. We discussed this in detail in our walkthrough of this case - this is option 2, although you can also trick Hill (option 3).
Dodge This
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Defeat a little girl without playing fair.
Commentary: This trophy/achievement was described in more detail on a separate page of the trophy guide.
Damage Control
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Prevent the last self-immolation.
Commentary: The trophy/achievement can be obtained during the final main case - Into the Depths. In its initial part, you will visit the St. Michael's Church, where you can find the central monolith.
Use the stairs leading to the second floor. You will meet Meryl there. During the conversation, you will learn that she plans to start the ritual of self-immolation. Select the second dialog option presented in the picture (You'll die in agony).
I'm Out of Here
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Leave the city and the world to their fate.
Commentary: This achievement is associated with one of the three endings of The Sinking City. Place the Seal on the right pedestal in the final cave. For more information, go to the List of endings page in our guide - this is ending number 3 in our walkthrough.
The Stars Are Right
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: End the Cycle.
Commentary: This achievement is associated with one of the three endings of The Sinking City. Place the Seal on the central pedestal in the final cave. For more information, go to the List of endings page in our guide - this is ending number 1 in our walkthrough.
Leap of Faith
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Restart the Cycle.
Commentary: This achievement is associated with one of the three endings of The Sinking City. Place the Seal on the left pedestal in the final cave. For more information, go to the List of endings page in our guide - this is ending number 2 in our walkthrough.
First, Do No Harm
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Agree to the experimental treatment.
Commentary: You can participate in the experimental treatment when you visit Hospital of St. Mary in Coverside district. The hospital is visited, for example, during the second main case - Lost At Sea.
During the conversation with the doctor in the reception, you can agree to participate in the treatment. After taking the medicine you will lose plenty of mental health (blue bar), so expect some serious hallucinations.
Extra! Extra!
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Give an interview to the local newspaper.
Commentary: You can give an interview when you visit the local newspaper The Oakmont Chronicle in the western part of Coverside district. The location is visited, for example, during the second main case - Lost At Sea.
Once you enter the room, initiate the conversation with Helen Bland. After you introduce yourself, agree to participate in the interview.
No Honor Among Thieves
Trophy type: brown
How to unlock: Take Sidney's stash. You monster.
Commentary: This trophy is related to A Delicate Matter side case - its walkthrough is on a separate page.
As part of this investigation, you will reach the Residence of Sidney Stokes. Go to the kitchen. The stash you are looking for is under the sink in the corner (the picture above) - use the Mind's Eye to find it faster. Use a melee weapon to break the boards below the sink and take the ammo from the stash.
Family Reunion
Trophy type: silver
How to unlock: Uphold your agreement with Robert.
Commentary: This trophy is related to Through the Looking Glass side case - its walkthrough is on a separate page. You start it after completing A Delicate Matter side case.
To get this trophy/achievement, you need to act in the right way at the end of the case - Reed must take the mirror and murder Bethany. This means that you need to follow Robert Throgmorton's order.
Family Reunion and Both Worlds trophies/achievements are mutually exclusive. Save the game manually before you make the choice at the end of the case. This will allow you to unlock both trophies/achievements during the first playthrough
Both Worlds
Trophy type: gold
How to unlock: Humor a grieving mother.
Commentary: This trophy is related to Through the Looking Glass side case - its walkthrough is on a separate page. You start it after completing A Delicate Matter side case.
To get this trophy/achievement, you need to act in the right way at the end of the case - let Bethany finish the ritual. After that, the mirror will break.
Family Reunion and Both Worlds trophies/achievements are mutually exclusive. Save the game manually before you make the choice at the end of the case. This will allow you to unlock both trophies/achievements during the first playthrough
